Earlier this morning, we had the pleasure of covering big news from CyberProtonics, a trailblazer in ease-of-use cybersecurity. (Read it in full here.)
The long-story-short recap of that news: CyberProtonics introduced its lightweight, software-based cryptosystem that makes being quantum-ready practical and affordable. With a small code footprint and low computing requirements, CyberProtonics’ solution turns data into an “invisible cipher” for businesses (and renders it totally useless for bad actors’ malicious breach attempts). This advanced, highly embeddable system generates encryption speeds of 512 bits (to upwards of 10,000 bits) for on-prem legacy systems and modern SASE frameworks alike. Ideal use cases for this robust layer of cybersecurity include work-from-home or hybrid work environments, for commercial data (e.g. banking, finance, healthcare, etc.), for protecting critical infrastructure in factories, power plants or wastewater treatment facilities, for IoT sensors and wearable devices and much more.
As CyberProtonics CEO Greg Welch aptly described, “Cybercrimes are an everyday occurrence, so now our mission every single day is to encrypt data to ensure it never falls into the wrong hands. We render breached data useless for today’s innovators, who deserve affordability, speed, and performance when it comes revolutionized data protection.”
So, we’ve got one valuable CyberProtonics announcement in the books.
Why not make it two?
Gracing headlines again, CyberProtonics announced that it has now been tapped by Simplifi, a Naples-headquartered provider of advanced connectivity, voice communications and collaboration tools – all through the Simplifi business enablement platform.
Simply put, Simplifi makes hardware and software as simple as possible to install and use.
That’s why Simplifi has called on CyberProtonics to embed its aforementioned cryptosystem into Simplifi’s newest router, the Connect 3.
By embedding its solution into the Connect 3, CyberProtonics is bringing its quantum-resistant encryption closer to millions of hybrid workforce employees (who may be using unsecured home routers to handle sensitive and proprietary information).
Simplifi’s CEO Nick Shevillo spoke positively about this news, saying “Many of our cellular carrier partners, government agencies, and Fortune 100 companies are interested in our new Connect 3 fixed wireless router for work-from-home employees. Embedded with CyberProtonics’ quantum-resistant cryptosystem, our products provide next-level gateway security for all network traffic at the router.”
Safeguarding data at rest or in transit without compromising on speed or performance? Check. Disarming hackers and rendering their ransomware and breach attempts useless? Check.
Those are the boxes that CyberProtonics is checking off for organizations like Simplifi.
