How MSPs Can Find Success in 2022

By Greg Tavarez

Hybrid and remote work environments are becoming the norm for a majority of businesses today. At least 58% of American workers are working remotely, according to ALM Media Properties, and the number is continuing to increase by more than 30% from pre-COVID averages. This – along with the general acceleration of digital transformation projects globally – is one of many business environment changes that is driving a demand for new and better IT infrastructure.

New and more complex infrastructure, though, comes with its share of complexity and management requirements. As businesses invest in new infrastructure, including making the transition to cloud technologies – private, public, hybrid, or multi – they are also looking for IT services that offer end-to-end services from a one-stop-shop. That’s where MSPs can play a major role in helping organizations of all sizes with IT infrastructure and support – either on independently or to augment in-house staff.

Businesses and organizations have realized that working with MSPs can ensure IT management and support is available at all times, whether it’s needed to fill in for in-house teams at times or provide a full support structure at all times. The IT services MSP provide can include data backup management to avert data loss, can reduce the problem of companies competing for scarce qualified IT experts that can drive up wages and can make qualified staff available to all parts of the world.

More demand does result in a more competitive market environment, and MSPs do need to innovate and invest in technology to continue to grow their recurring revenue streams.

But, the money is there.  In 2022, overall IT spending is expected to grow by 5.5% to nearly $4.5 trillion, according to Gartner, with total spending on IT services, specifically, growing to $1.3 trillion this year. IT services are predicted to have the second largest increase cited in the report at 8.6% growth over the previous year.

During “3 Factors That Will Make MSPs Successful in 2022,” a webinar set for 2:00pm EDT, June 29, 2022, MSPs that are looking to deliver higher value managed services to retain and grow their customer bases will hear the panel discuss how they can win their share of that $1.3 trillion projection.

The panel will feature Dennis Callaghan and Eric Cook, of OpsRamp; and Razor Technology’s Ryan Rosenkaimer and Tim Wisniewski. The panel will discuss how MSPs can capitalize on the opportunity presented by digital transformation and the changing economy including growth preparation, hybrid and multi-cloud worlds and expediting root cause analysis and automation.
