Secure the Everywhere Work Landscape: Ivanti Launches EASM and Platform Upgrades

By Greg Tavarez

A lot of employees are demanding their employers to take the "Everywhere Work" approach because of its flexibility.

With this approach, employees have the freedom to choose where they work; whether it's an office, home office, coffee shop, co-working space or anywhere with an internet connection.

The emphasis here is on completing tasks and achieving goals, rather than being physically present in a specific location for a set number of hours. For example, an employee could finish their tasks within four or five hours and be done with work for the day instead of being in an office, trying to extend four hours of work into eight hours. Employees are trusted to manage their own time and workload effectively.

No doubt Everywhere Work has the potential to benefit employers and employees, but it also comes with challenges. It increases the threat landscape and the progression of threat-actor tactics. Security teams struggle to attain visibility of external-facing assets and exposures across their attack surface.

Ivanti, a tech company that breaks down barriers between IT and security so that Everywhere Work can thrive, has a solution for that. The recently released Ivanti Neurons for External Attack Surface Management, or EASM, helps combat attack surface expansion with full visibility of external-facing assets and actionable intelligence on exposures.

With Ivanti Neurons for EASM, security teams see all internet-facing devices and any weaknesses they have, all the time. This complete picture lets them find and fix the biggest risks before hackers can exploit them.

“EASM is a critical component to a full-spectrum cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) solution,” said Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala, Chief Product Officer, Ivanti. “It drives cyber resilience by discovering all digital assets and prioritizing associated exposures for remediation.”

Ivanti Neurons is adding a powerful integration platform called Ivanti Neurons iPaaS. This user-friendly tool, built in partnership with Workato, allows easy connection of external applications to Ivanti's Service and Asset Management solutions. With pre-built connectors and drag-and-drop automation, IT teams streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.

Additionally, Ivanti Neurons for ITSM is getting a major upgrade with generative AI features. With this feature, service desk analysts receive a summary of an employee's self-service interaction before they even submit a ticket. This allows for faster, more targeted support. AI can also summarize incidents for easier handoff, automatically create knowledge articles from incident data and provide a central hub for managing AI functionalities within ITSM.

Ivanti also improved its reporting and dashboards. A new dashboard designer lets users create custom dashboards focused on key performance indicators. Additionally, GenAI will be used to summarize survey data.

These enhancements allow businesses to automate tasks, improve service desk efficiency and gain valuable insights from data, all within the Ivanti Neurons platform. Ivanti continues to deliver on its mission to empower IT and security teams with a 360-degree view of their entire IT estate.
