Bigleaf Networks and NHC Partner to Optimize the Edge

Bigleaf Networks and NHC Partner to Optimize the Edge

By Greg Tavarez

Edge computing is a game-changer in the digital world; it brings, among many benefits, a much-needed shift away from centralized processing. By distributing computing power and data storage closer to the sources of data generation, edge computing offers a range of benefits that are fundamentally altering user experience and operational efficiency.

One of the most impactful advantages is the improvement in application performance. Traditional cloud-based models often face latency issues, where data needs to travel long distances to central servers for processing. Edge computing eliminates this bottleneck by processing data locally.

Edge computing also unlocks significant cost savings by reducing reliance on centralized data centers so organizations can minimize infrastructure overhead and bandwidth consumption.

Security is another area where edge computing shines. By keeping sensitive data closer to its source, organizations mitigate the risks associated with long-distance data transfers.

It makes sense as to why the demand for edge computing and the edge computing market are growing. In fact, according to Polaris Market Research, the global edge computing market, valued at $7.43 billion in 2021, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 38.8% during the forecast period through 2030.

In response to the surging demand, New Horizon Communications Corp., the Communications Stack Provider, entered a strategic collaboration with Bigleaf Networks to offer network communications services to organizations and businesses of all sizes in North America.

NHC has been delivering cloud-based and legacy Telco communications services to businesses nationwide since 2002. It packages a wide range of solutions for business communications and collaboration sold exclusively through partners.

Bigleaf Networks simplifies internet connectivity for businesses to allow IT professionals to manage online operations with greater peace of mind. Their network optimization technology dynamically adjusts traffic flow based on real-time network conditions. This guarantees consistent application performance and user productivity, even during internet slowdowns or outages.

Back to the partnership, it marks a step forward in NHC expanding the mix of edge solutions with cutting-edge products from Bigleaf Networks,

“Bigleaf Networks’ SD-WAN solution is the perfect complement to our current SD-WAN and Security portfolio,” said Eric Hammare, NHC’s Vice President of Sales. “This pivotal move aligns with our ongoing mission to equip our partners and shared customers with state-of-the-art technology, further reinforcing our commitment to delivering unparalleled service.”

Under the banner of Cloud Stack Edge, NHC’s suite of solutions will be designed to meet the growing needs for enhanced network connectivity, performance, resiliency and security.

“Our shared vision for leveraging advanced technology to address the evolving needs of our customers sets a new benchmark in the industry,” said John Hogan, Bigleaf’s Senior Vice President of Operations. “Together, we are poised to deliver solutions that not only meet today's demands but also anticipate the challenges of tomorrow.”
