CoreDial Adds Text Messaging to CoreNexa UCaaS Platform

When you to get in touch with someone, what do you do?  Unless it’s an emergency, more often than not, the first option is a text message.  Whether you’re asking for information or sending it, text messaging has become the most convenient way to communicate, especially now that most people are drowning in email. It's easy; it's immediate; it's non-intrusive; and it doesn't rely in availability to answer a voice call; and it's available on every mobile device.

Maybe even more important is the fact that text messages tend to get better results.  Recent studies show text messages have a higher open rate and shorter response time than email.  In fact, on average, people have 192 times more unread emails than text messages, and 74% say that don’t have any unread texts.

Texting has gone well beyond a personal communications tool, with more than two-thirds of businesses using texting in some capacity.  With the emergence of AI tools, text messages are becoming even more prevalent in business communications, offering an easy mechanism for communicating key information to customers.  Think about the convenience of getting appointment confirmations or shipping updated via text – just two simple uses of automated text messaging.

Messaging use extends to nearly all areas of business, from sales to marketing to customer service.  The average person sends 15 texts a day, and Americans alone send some 26 billion text messages each day.  To put that into perspective, in the time it took you to read that statistic, about a million messages were sent.

“Texting has become a preferred communication method for people of all ages, and many customers are more likely to communicate via text than making a call,” said CoreDial CEO Alan Rihm, who was named to the Cloud Communications Alliance Board of Directors last month.

Given the value of messaging to businesses, and the fact that customers expect the businesses they interact with to have text messaging capabilities, CoreDial has added text messaging to its CoreNexa UCaaS platform.  With the texting capability, businesses can now send SMS messages and exchange images, videos, and documents through text messaging, adding another layer of convenience and flexibility to their unified communications capabilities.

There’s an added benefit in that, with the messaging running through the UCaaS platform using each user’s business phone number, employees no longer have to worry about giving out their personal cell numbers when texting customers, partners, or colleagues.  This instantly gives employees access to secure text messaging, using the same phone number as for all their other business calls, making it easier for them to leverage text messaging.  It also means text interactions can be integrated into workflows, and appended to customer records, ensuring all communications are tracked and can be referenced.

“By adding SMS and MMS capabilities to CoreNexa and a customer’s business telephone number, we're giving our channel partners the ability to satisfy growing demand by end-customers for a reliable, secure, and easy-to-use business texting solution,” Rihm added.  “We continue to focus on adding the features our channel partners need to the CoreNexa platform, and will continue to develop even more compelling solutions that will empower the channel to succeed.”

Growth opportunities for MSPs is the singular focus of MSP Expo, part of the TechSuperShow.  Coming to the brand new Miami Beach Convention Center, June 22-25, 2021 along with ITEXPO and the rest of the TechSuperShow events, MSP Expo 2021 will focus not only on solution and product offerings, but will feature marketing, customer acquisition, benchmarking and metrics, compliance, and other key areas of business growth for MSPs.
