The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has some of the strictest security and interoperability standards in the running when it comes to approving products for widespread usage. And IT monitoring software company ScienceLogic has become the first in its category to meet those standards, being named to the Unified Capability Approved Products List by the DoD.
The designation means the company meets the DoD’s standards for end-to-end IT infrastructure monitoring and government agencies may now purchase ScienceLogic’s infrastructure monitoring products through an expedited process. Ultimately, agencies will be better able to mitigate their network management challenges while enjoying high levels of security because of the designation.
At the beginning of the year, ScienceLogic teamed up with Data Tactics specifically to hone monitoring solutions for the federal government and intelligence community. It looks like that partnership paid off with the new designation, which turns a large number of federal agencies into prospects for the company. Data Tactics brings a Big Data Engine Analytics Platform to the game, which is built on the NoSQL Hadoop Framework. The platform provides insights into business intelligence, gleaning further value from vast amounts of data. When combined with the ScienceLogic monitoring solution, customers may enjoy visibility into a variety of big data analytics through a single pane of glass.
"Our software provides more architectural flexibility than any other tool in the industry, delivering great setup and initial configuration value for DoD agencies who deploy our product,” said Dave Link, co-founder and CEO of ScienceLogic. “We do this by automating the security installation process so that DoD customers deploying our product can stand it up and gain local security accreditation in a few minutes versus the days or weeks of step-by-step manual procedures required by other solutions."
Software from ScienceLogic offers automated monitoring for complex hybrid IT infrastructures. Solutions handle systems monitoring as well as network and applications, both on premises or managed services and solutions that reside off premises or in the cloud. The company supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as more than 1,000 dynamic management apps, all designed to maximize efficiency and operations for enhanced business continuity.
