Indusface and TD SYNNEX Deliver Affordable Security Solutions to North American SMEs

By Greg Tavarez

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face growing susceptibility to cyber threats, primarily stemming from their constrained resources and often inadequate expertise in cybersecurity. According to a 2023 Verizon report, 43% of cyberattacks are directed specifically toward small businesses.

Several factors contribute to SMEs' heightened risk profiles. Firstly, limited financial resources often constrain their ability to invest in robust cybersecurity infrastructure and personnel. Consequently, SMEs may lack comprehensive defense mechanisms against evolving cyber threats. Additionally, the absence of dedicated cybersecurity teams or personnel means that these businesses may overlook critical security protocols, leaving them exposed to exploitation by malicious actors.

Furthermore, SMEs also frequently lack awareness of the potential ramifications of cyber threats, which can lead to a false sense of security. They may underestimate the value of their data to cybercriminals or assume that they are inconspicuous targets compared to larger corporations. Such misconceptions render SMEs more susceptible to attacks, as they may neglect basic cybersecurity practices or fail to implement necessary safeguards.

So, to help address the cybersecurity vulnerabilities of SMEs, application security company Indusface announced a new partnership with TD SYNNEX, a global IT solutions distributor and aggregator, to bring an affordable managed web application and API protection, platform called AppTrana MSP Edition to SMEs across North America.

"Having served 1,000-plus SME customers in North America, we realized that we had a strong product market fit," said Venkatesh Sundar, President and founder, Americas at Indusface. "While this happened organically, our partnership with TD SYNNEX will supercharge the adoption through their thousands of MSP partners in the U.S. and Canada."

AppTrana MSP Edition is a fully managed, unified platform designed to discover, protect and monitor internet-facing websites and APIs in real-time. The AppTrana MSP Edition boasts several essential features, including the ability to swiftly comply with cybersecurity audits within 72 hours, facilitated by a clean, zero-vulnerability report.

It offers seamless onboarding of applications within minutes, and it continuously discovers all internet-facing websites, APIs, apps and other assets. On-demand scanning of applications for vulnerabilities and malware is another crucial capability.

Furthermore, the solution provides robust protection against various threats such as vulnerabilities, zero-day exploits, DDoS attacks and bot intrusions. The system's 24/7 support actively monitors anomalies in site traffic to safeguard against potential risks.

"With Indusface added to our vast portfolio of vendor partners, we're able to enrich the breadth and depth of our offerings so customers can do great things with technology,” said Cheryl Day, Vice President, New Vendor Acquisition and Global Solutions at TD SYNNEX.

The long-story-short of it: This Indusface partnership with TD SYNNEX allows MSP to deliver enterprise-class, managed website and API security to their end customers. AppTrana MSP Edition is also cost-effective; the flexible payment terms, monthly billing and support from TD SYNNEX are additional benefits.
