Continuum Launches MSPedia to Inform Managed IT Services

By Michael Guta

Say what you will about human beings, our ability to build repositories of knowledge is impressive. Whether it is the ancient Library of Alexandria or the Library of Congress, we have an inherent need to keep records of the knowledge we continue to acquire. In the past, books and libraries were limited to those with privilege, today information and communications technologies allows anyone with an Internet connection unlimited access to free education, libraries and encyclopedias. With that in mind, Continuum, the industry's only channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed IT services, has launched MSPedia, a collection of product-agnostic, educational articles with information relevant to managed IT services.

When an established company such as Continuum creates an information database, it ensures its customers, users and even competitors have the most accurate and latest facts about technology. According to the company, its goal is to give Managed Services Providers (MSP) access to the most up-to-date information on technology, services and industry related terminology.

The MSPedia is new, so there is not an extensive database as of yet, but it has seven well written and comprehensive articles on:

  • Remote monitoring and management (RMM)
  • Network operations centers (NOC)
  • Backup and disaster recovery (BDR)
  • Mobile device management (MDM)
  • CyberCrime & Security Overview: Terms, Trends, Statistics, and Takeaways
  • The 411 on IT Help Desk Services & Solutions
  • What Is Managed IT Services?

“As the industry continues to change and grow, we continue our commitment of making a wide variety of cutting-edge, educational resources available to ensure our partners continue to lead the industry,” said Jeanne Hopkins, Senior Vice President & CMO at Continuum. “We have designed MSPedia to be the reference hub for managed IT services so our MSPs have a guide for industry related terms with links to additional information when assisting their clients."

The articles are written to give the reader data points about the particular subject without pushing any product or service from any vendors. The encyclopedia provides an overview, history and challenges, benefits to the technology, links to related eBooks, external sources and reading material, and more.

As managed IT services providers continue to grow, industry players need to upgrade their knowledge base with the latest development. This ensures they can provide the best solutions for their customers by making informed decisions. The MSPedia created by Continuum is one more resource they can use to make that possible.

The company stated this is just the beginning, and more articles are being added.
