Quest to Open Second Service Delivery Center in Sacramento Area

Quest to Open Second Service Delivery Center in Sacramento Area

By Laura Stotler

Data center and colocation provider Quest will open a second Service Delivery Center (SDC) in the Sacramento region, the company announced. The new 120,00-square-foot facility will be sited in the former Hewlett-Packard space in Roseville, CA.

The new data center will be Tier 3, SSAE 16 Type II compliant and will be located in a data center safe zone, free from natural disasters like flooding and earthquakes. The location was chosen in alignment with Quest’s vision to deliver a secure, high-performance environment to meet its clients’ needs in support of mission-critical data and business applications.

The Roseville facility will feature a 24x7 NOC as well as a number of services, including colocation, business continuity and disaster recovery and managed and cloud services. Other offerings will include desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) and IaaS, which will be tailored to align with clients’ core business requirements.

"The decision to expand our network of 22 global SDCs was driven by our customers' increased demand to outsource IT infrastructures and lower their CapEx and OpEx costs with managed and cloud services," said Tim Burke, president and CEO of Quest. "The selection of Roseville represents our thirty year commitment to operate and grow our headquarters in California."

The company has closely aligned with Cisco over the past few months, achieving Cisco Managed Service Provider certification in November and Cisco Gold Certification for USA in November. In January, Quest achieved Advanced Borderless Network Architecture Specialization from Cisco in support of the expanding role of borderless networks. That designation recognizes the company for having the training requirements and program prerequisites for selling, designing and deploying Cisco Borderless Networks offerings.

The new Roseville facility is scheduled to open this summer. The SDC, like all of Quest’s data centers, will offer the Questflex flexible SLA, which enables companies to invest in capabilities instead of a product. This means Quest provides industry recognized technology capabilities that are customized to meet customers’ specific requirements.
