Intermedia Adds Email Archiving Capabilities to Suite of Hosted IT Services

Intermedia has added legally compliant email archiving capabilities to its Office in the Cloud suite of hosted IT services. The enhanced solution provides enterprise-grade preservation, protection and recovery tools to meet a number of regulatory needs including eDiscovery and intellectual property protection.

The Intermedia Email Archiving service is easily managed and cost effective, enabling small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to ensure every single email is archived, searchable and immediately retrievable. The solution also supports 450 types of file attachments and offers compliance with FERPA, FRCP, SOX, SEC and HIPAA for the financial and legal industries.

"Compliant Email Archiving adds protection against legal and regulatory issues beyond the data security, backup and reliability levels for which Intermedia is already known," said Michael Gold, president of Intermedia. The company already powers close to 600,000 premium hosted Microsoft Exchange mailboxes for global SMBs. The Office in the Cloud suite provides a one-stop shop for all essential IT functions to enable communication, collaboration and content management. It includes hosted Microsoft Exchange, Lync and SharePoint in addition to the proprietary Hosted PBX and Cloud Server from Intermedia.

The company's services are managed through the HostPilot Control Panel, which provides central and simplified management as well as on-premise control. Intermedia also provides infrastructure reliability, migration services and 24/7 phone and email support.
