Forrester Report Ranks Network Box USA as Strong MSSP Performer

By Laura Stotler

Network Box USA has been named a strong performer in the managed security service providers (MSSPs) space by Forrester Research. The company, the American division of worldwide MSSP Network Box Corporation Limited, was named in The Forrester Wave: Emerging MSSPs, Q1 2013 Report.

The report features select MSSPs invited by Forrester to participate and focuses on emerging companies in the sector. The research firm evaluated companies' breadth of capabilities, flexibility and customer satisfaction. The firm rated Network Box as a "strong performer" within the emerging MSSP landscape.

Forrester also comments in the report that Network Box trains its own team on the company's technology, with the MSSP attaining the highest score in the category of MSS Employees. Clients have attested to the company's Network Box UTM reducing their operational risk, while also enhancing operational performance. Network Box is also positioned in the report as being appealing to those companies in search of a managed UTM appliance along with active support from professional security personnel.

The Network Box UTM appliance combines a variety of security applications into a single and sophisticated mix of hardware and software. This includes firewall, intrusion prevention and detection, VPN, content filtering, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-phishing and anti-spyware. The appliance is designed to enable small to medium-sized businesses to combat hackers, worms, backdoors and other online threats both easily and cost-effectively.

The company serves hundreds of global businesses and government organizations through cyber security built on its real-time technology. Signatures are created and pushed to UTM devices globally within three seconds, ensuring real-time protection for more than 150 banks and credit unions in the U.S.

"Network Box prides itself on its award-winning UTM, security technology and customer service, one with a truly global presence. To be identified by Forrester as one of the top and most significant emerging MSSPs is not only an honor, but, we believe, true validation of everything the entire Network Box team has worked so hard for since 2000," said Pierluigi Stella, CTO of Network Box USA. "For us, the report clearly illustrates that we are a proven, emerging player in the market."
