Businesses of all sizes generate massive amounts of information, from customer records and financial transactions to marketing materials and video content and much more. The issue is that traditional on-premises storage solutions are becoming increasingly inadequate for today's data-driven landscape. Think of the limited scalability, high upfront costs and ongoing maintenance burdens that can make them a cumbersome and expensive option.
That is why cloud storage has emerged. However, not all cloud storage solutions are created equal. Many major cloud providers have complex pricing structures with hidden fees for data retrieval (egress fees) and API requests. These fees can quickly erode the cost benefits of cloud storage, especially for organizations with rapidly growing data volumes. Additionally, concerns around vendor lock-in and data security can deter businesses from fully embracing cloud-based storage solutions.
To address these challenges, a new generation of cloud storage providers is disrupting the market. These companies prioritize simplicity, transparency and affordability. They offer predictable pricing models with no egress fees, and they prioritize robust security practices to ensure the integrity and privacy of sensitive data.
One such development is the rise of White-Label OEM programs. These programs allow cloud storage providers to partner with software companies, cloud service providers and technology vendors. Through these partnerships, the storage provider's technology becomes seamlessly integrated into the partner's existing solutions.
To offer this capability to its partners, Wasabi Technologies, a cloud storage provider, recently launched its White-Label OEM program. This program allows SaaS companies, cloud service providers and technology vendors to integrate Wasabi's storage into their solutions for backup, disaster recovery and other applications.
Besides integrating Wasabi’s storage, the program grants partners the ability to price and brand the storage as their own offering and provide secure, scalable storage with predictable pricing and no egress or API fees. Partners can also leverage Wasabi's program to differentiate their offerings, simplify customer purchasing and manage storage costs.
“Our singular focus on cloud storage and partner-first go to market strategy has made Wasabi the most predictable and flexible cloud storage for OEM solutions,” said Mark Vella, Wasabi Technologies Vice President of Global Business Development. “When partners integrate with Wasabi, they can drive more revenue, maximize margins and deliver best-in-class solutions to customers that create real long-term value.”
More than 25 technology providers have already partnered with Wasabi to bundle storage into their solutions. The White-Label program expands Wasabi's existing partner ecosystem of over 14,000 partners and resellers.
