MSPs face the imperative to maintain competitiveness by leveraging their human capital – a skilled workforce essential for delivering a range of IT services. This reliance on experts proficient in areas like IT support, cybersecurity and network management underscores the importance of personnel in ensuring high-quality service delivery.
However, this reliance introduces challenges in establishing consistent and repeatable processes. Given the dynamic nature of technology, developing standardized workflows that accommodate various client needs while remaining adaptable becomes a complex task. Also, ensuring that teams adhere to these processes is an ongoing challenge, as urgent requests and unique client requirements can lead to deviations, impacting service quality and efficiency.
In addition to process intricacies, MSPs grapple with the intricacies of people management. Acquiring and retaining skilled professionals amid high demand is a competitive venture, while orchestrating a harmonious team with diverse skills and work styles necessitates adept leadership and communication.
In an effort to help MSPs overcome these challenges, MSPbots, an MSP solutions provider leveraging AI to drive process efficiency and workforce adherence at MSPs, raised $5 million in seed funding from Mercury to further develop and grow MSPbots with newly emerged AI technologies like LLM and RLHF and accelerate the expansion of its team.
“As larger corporations and businesses begin to integrate AI technology across their platforms, smaller to midsize MSPs are increasingly left behind,” said Eddie Lou, venture partner at Mercury Fund. “MSPbots is providing an innovative, accessible solution specifically for MSPs to reduce administrative burden.”
MSPbots was established in Chicago by Daniel Wang, who leveraged his prior success in running a thriving U.S.-based MSP venture to address the challenges of managing a rapidly expanding employee workforce. Fueled by his fascination with AI, Wang developed a distinctive technological platform that introduced proactive intelligence solutions. These solutions aimed at automating tasks and enhancing team management, marking the inception of MSPbots in 2019.
Presently, the company boasts a global presence, catering to more than 1,400 MSPs worldwide. As a testament to MSPbots’ commitment, the company has witnessed an 83.4% increase in new client onboarding over the past six months.
At its core, MSPbots offers a suite of customizable dashboards and RPA bots designed to automate administrative tasks and reduce the reliance on new hires. These innovative solutions include Business Intelligence dashboards for internal visibility, a digital workforce of real-time training bots for technicians, a Next Ticket Manager streamlining workflows and an Attendance Manager optimizing workforce utilization.
By embracing the MSPbots platform, MSPs can streamline their operations, leading to enhanced business processes and increased gross service margins.
“We empower MSPs to be more successful by enabling them to scale without the need to increase headcount and by providing hands-off training for their teams,” said Wang. “Using our data driven automation, MSPs can grow while maintaining consistent, quality service for their end-customers.”
