Skybox Shifts to Next Generation of Cybersecurity with Cloud Edition

By Greg Tavarez

Digital transformation accelerated the past few years and, increasingly, organizations moved more of their work to the cloud. At the same time, security rose to the top of importance for most organizations with the increase of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. A security posture management solution is needed to be in place to accurately determine cyber exposure and eliminate critical risks.

Skybox Security’s Security Posture Management Platform provides users with the ability to visualize and analyze hybrid, multi-cloud and OT networks. This gives full context and understanding of the attack surface. The platform also performs path analyses and performs attack simulations that attempt to exploit all vulnerabilities on all assets and give administrators the opportunity to determine the best remediation approach.

"Skybox equips customers with the hybrid network modeling, path analysis and automation they need to reduce the risk of a significant data breach by 55%,” said Skybox Security CEO and Founder Gidi Cohen.

Skybox revealed the new era of its Security Posture Management Platform and introduced the Skybox Security Cloud Edition, hosted in AWS for stability, performance and availability. The SaaS offering will allow customers to manage security policies, prioritize vulnerabilities and remediate exposures across the most complex on-premises, cloud, operational technology and hybrid environments. The will leverage the tools to automate, verify and operationalize risk reduction.

With flexible deployment options for vulnerability and exposure management – both on-premises and SaaS versions – customers are enabled to select the deployment model that aligns with their corporate and regulatory requirements. Deployment time is cut and the need for procuring hardware, performing testing and installing updates is reduced. Because of this, customers will unlock value faster.

Customers also benefit immediately from the latest product innovations and platform updates. Upgrades are not as disruptive. Seamless, automated upgrades are critical given the dynamic threat and regulatory landscapes.

Additionally, 24/7 monitoring of the tenants across the network operations center and security operations center maintains optimal network performance and performs real-time analysis for continuous threat mitigation.

“Our latest innovations are significant for customers that deploy on-premises, as well as customers that will benefit from our new SaaS solution,” said Cohen. “The new Skybox Cloud Edition offering capitalizes on the speed, scale, innovation and productivity benefits powered by the cloud to drive the pursuit of broader digital business opportunities."

Skybox also revealed expanded integrations. Skybox expanded its support of AWS firewalls in distributed mode and added capabilities to its Cisco ACI integration to deliver granular visibility into ACI Fabric tenants across spanning networking, micro-segmentation policies and device attributes. Skybox also integrated with Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud. Vulnerabilities in container images across DevOps toolchains are now identified and prioritized for remediation via the Skybox multi-factor risk scoring algorithm.

With the next generation of the Security Posture Management Platform, customers will reduce the risk of a significant data breach, continuously test attacks and remediation options across hybrid environments as well as capitalize on the speed, scale, innovation and productivity benefits powered by the cloud.
