Managed AI Cloud Accelerates Time to Production, Results

By Greg Tavarez

Organizations today rely more on enterprise AI/machine learning platforms to deliver critical business results. According to an Omdia study, the AI marketplace reached a critical point of acceleration with more than 25% of companies looking to scale AI across multiple business units.

Bradley Shimmin, chief analyst for AI platforms, analytics and data management at Omdia said that, although this rise favors departmental deployments, it does foreshadow an uptick in management costs, maintenance complexities and exposure to risk for many companies electing to continue managing their own infrastructure.

DataRobot wanted to build something to support critical AI/ML projects with the advantage of public cloud services that will reduce cost and time-to-value in deploying, upgrading and managing AI infrastructure. This led to the launch of its DataRobot Dedicated Managed AI Cloud, a dedicated hosted version of AI Cloud managed by DataRobot experts.

DataRobot Dedicated Managed AI Cloud builds on a decade of experience driving business-critical AI/ML projects for customers across on-premises, virtual private cloud, public cloud and in DataRobot multi-tenant SaaS deployments.

The new offering will free team members from managing or maintaining platform updates to save time and resources. This is done while providing the security, isolation and data residency requirements for each customer.

DataRobot Dedicated Managed AI Cloud is deployed for each customer in a dedicated and separate VPC. Multiple departments within the same organization can separate their models, projects and data from other parts of the business

“We’re excited for business leaders to realize the value of DataRobot with this managed offering,” said Venky Veeraraghavan, senior vice president, product, DataRobot. “Customers can focus on driving business results with DataRobot managing the operational elements, while still maintaining their specific security requirements and taking advantage of the cloud's evergreen deployment and new features.”

Choosing the DataRobot Dedicated Managed AI Cloud platform results in faster time-to-value by eliminating implementation time and resources, enabling organizations to more quickly apply ML, decision intelligence and MLOps capabilities.
