Australian Managed Service and IT solutions company Cirrus Networks has just announced it signed a significant multi-year managed services contract with Icon Water.

The 3-year managed service contract -valued around $15.5m - will begin immediately and is expected to be completed within 18 months. It includes the implementation and operation of network and Information and Communications Technology (‘ICT ’) operations environments. Also, it will manage the company’s network, data center, UC solutions, cloud and security offerings. There are also two 1- year extension options included as part of the contract.

Icon Water is an ACT government-owned corporation and is responsible for water and wastewater services. The company has been working towards a digital transformation and transitioning of their technology platform and services to deliver better value for customers. These modern technologies have played an increasing role in helping them to deliver water services to the Australian Capital Territory.

Recently, the company was working within a shared services arrangement and wanted to move to a fully managed, outsourced offering. They were seeking a partner that could bring them reliable, secure and highly adaptive solutions to meet their tech goals. They needed a way to reduce complexity and risk while also streamlining and simplifying management. They aslo wanted efficiency in implementation and adding new digital capabilities.

Cirrus will be providing a new service integration and management framework to help their customers to achieve these goals.

“We are very excited to have been selected by Icon Water as their partner of choice for this

implementation and ongoing Managed Service. We understand the priorities for Icon Water

In delivering a technical solution to meet their strategic goals, whilst also ensuring a seamless transition to an ongoing managed service, offering sustainable value through our innovative, agile and customer focused approach. We look forward to working together on their digital

transformation journey and building a great partnership,” said Cirrus Managing Director and CEO, Chris McLaughlin.
