Sentinel Data Centers: Standing Out in a Crowded Market

Sentinel Data Centers: Standing Out in a Crowded Market

By Stefania Viscusi

Data Center suites are playing an increasingly important role today for businesses. Not only is it easier and less cumbersome to not have to own and operate a data center, but for many businesses the level of quality and expertise offered when partnering with a premium provider is an even greater reason to make the switch.

Sentinel Data Centers offers turn-key data center suites that are specifically optimized for the large enterprise. Multi-tenant facility solutions make it possible for users to have a dedicated building and support services to ensure success.

TMC’s Erik Linask caught up with Director of Business Development Nelson Frye at Telecom Exchange NY 2015 to hear more about the company and its offerings.

Founded in 2001 in the aftermath of the telecom and tech bust, the company developed a plan to cater to large businesses looking to outsource their data centers and have been growing the model since.

While the push to outsource data centers is on trend right now and the market is crowded with a lot of activity and interest in the space, Frye notes that the company is able to differentiate itself by focusing on the large enterprise and designing a footprint that matches the requirements of global 1000 and global 2000 companies.

Dedicating focus to this market has helped ensure it delivers optimal services for the market. Like any business, Frye noted, Sentinel Data Centers also puts a lot of emphasis on quality and this, he believes, is a factor in what sets the company apart from the competition.

“The focus on quality around design and operations is key and part and parcel to that is the operations team that we have on the wall.”

Finally, Frye noted that flexibility also plays an important role in what the company offers. Since every customer will have a different set of needs, the company really focuses on getting the details right and then delivering and accommodating to the specific needs.
