Converged Technology Group Promotes Managed UC with Cisco TelePresence Video Designation

By Laura Stotler

MSP Converged Technology Group has had a longstanding partnership with Cisco, using the company’s TelePresence Video products as part of its managed unified communications (UC) and cloud offerings. By deploying products like the Cisco Business Edition 6000, the service provider has been able to offer clients a fully managed UC solution with IP telephony.

The company has now strengthened its relationship with Cisco, achieving the coveted TelePresence Video Advanced Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) status. The designation means Converged Technology Group has been sanctioned by Cisco to sell, deploy and support the company’s TelePresence Video offerings at an advanced level.

The achievement is significant for the MSP, since video and collaboration are major components of its managed UC offering. Converged UC solutions also encompass voice communications, messaging, presence, mobility and contact center support. Additionally, the company offers virtualized data center solutions, as well as network infrastructure, which includes LAN and WAN switching along with wireless and security support.

"With TelePresence, distance is no longer a barrier in face-to-face communications,” said Leo E. Galletta, president and CEO of Converged Technology Group. “Clients can experience an agile, 24x7x365 work environment on a national or even global scale without incurring the time and expense of travel when they need to close a deal fast or collaborate on a project around a virtual conference table with partners and experts all over the world."

Galletta added that managed UC and TelePresence solutions also help the MSP’s clients increase their productivity, while realizing operational savings, all of which support directing more resources toward their core business initiatives.

Converged also holds Cisco Gold Partner and Cisco Master Unified Communication Partner designations. The MSP counts APC, EMC, HP, Microsoft, Veeam and VMware among its long-time partners.
