Technology management and IT consulting company Aldridge has been steadily working to grow its business in the Houston and Dallas metro areas. In support of its goal, the company has completed its acquisition of Houston MSP IS Support Inc., a provider of managed tech services as well as cloud hosting solutions like VoIP and Exchange.
The move will build out Aldridge’s portfolio while also giving clients of IS Support access to a mature and well known managed services practice. The goal will be to offer clients simplified IT operations, faster response times and a broad range of knowledge and expertise on a daily basis.
IS Support’s wide range of managed services include network, mobile device and workstation management as well as cloud backup and continuity and vendor and server management. Hosted offerings include VoIP, Exchange, cloud server hosting and email protection services. The MSP also provides network and hardware and software architecture and implementation services; network assessments and security audits; and storage architecture and implementation.
"As our clients' businesses have evolved and their IT needs have become more sophisticated, it became clear that we would need to find the right partner with broader, deeper skills than we could offer alone," said Steve Combs, CEO of IS Support. "With its superior technical expertise, emphasis on small and midsize businesses that are growing, and multi-city capabilities in the Houston and Dallas areas, Aldridge is perfect." Combs will act as vice president at Aldridge, and the company will retain IS Support’s other employees as well.
The combined companies now have more than 75 employees and provide services to more than 500 clients. Last year, Aldridge got into the business of providing hosted VoIP phone services as well as a business-class hosted phone system. The company hosts all PBX servers in its own data center as well as handling support and maintenance. Features include unlimited domestic long-distance services, voice mail-to-email forwarding, auto attendant, caller ID and call conferencing. The service also provides find me/follow me features, disaster recovery and a web-based user and administration interface.
