LabTech Experiments with Storage Partner

LabTech Experiments with Storage Partner

By Doug Barney

LabTech, like all major remote monitoring and management (RMM) vendors, is signing up partners faster than William Shatner in an autograph line.

Latest case in point? VaultLogix, which provides cloud backup to resellers as well as direct to SMBs.

Now this cloud tool is integrated with LabTech Software’s RMM so storage can be monitored effectively.

“This integration enables LabTech monitoring agents to automatically generate backup status alerts for mutual MSP partners,” the companies said.

With the new integration, “MSPs can provide their clients with a higher level of data protection by deploying VaultLogix Advantage cloud backup software, while proactively monitoring their client’s networks using LabTech RMM Software. Now, MSP clients can monitor the VaultLogix Advantage cloud backup and recovery service from one central platform, thus streamlining operations and freeing up valuable internal resources,” said Zak Karsan, vice president of business development for VaultLogix.

VaultLogix Gets Aggressive on Price

Playing its part in the raging cloud storage price war, VaultLogix is now running a price chopping incentive plan from now till the end of the year for its cloud backup that is aimed at resellers and SMBs.

The company today counts 600 MSPs, VARs and IT consultants as partners, and there is apparently always room for more.

The program, Cash for Clients, awards partners for adding billable clients that use VaultLogix active vaults.

Here are some more details: “Each client must be initially billable for a minimum of 60 days and 10 gigabytes (GB) of stored data. Migrations from one backup software platform to another are not eligible for payment under the Program. VARs will earn $25 for each eligible client that has 10 to 99 GB added during the Program. VARs will earn $50 for each eligible client that has over 100 GB added during the Program,” the company explained.

LabTech Partners Now Over 3,000

LabTech, for its part, now has some 3,250 partners. The company points to other milestones, such as:

  • “Over 1600 of the company's partners converted from a competing RMM tool
  • Over 400 partners are now served through the LabTech Cloud
  • Over 200 partners now manage 2,500+ endpoints
  • 1,000 partners now run their MSP with the ModernOffice Suite
  • LabTech partners support 125,000 small businesses”

To solidify its MSP play, the company this past March announced the Partner Innovation Network (PIN). This MSP channel program isn’t just for new partners, but is also built to deepen relationships with current associates.

Partners can now have “access to upcoming strategies and technologies, including participation in quarterly business reviews, focus groups and councils that are designed to promote partner-driven innovation and test emerging technologies via LabTech Software's pilot program,” LabTech explained.
