Zynstra Points Hybrid Cloud Right at SMBs

Zynstra Points Hybrid Cloud Right at SMBs

By Doug Barney

For many MSPs, the market sweet spot is SMB, and the technology sweet spot is hybrid cloud.

Zynstra is going after both with a new hybrid cloud offering for those MSPs taking aim at those SMBs.

The new service from the U.K.-based vendor is designed for simplicity and is pre-configured. Components include security, storage, backup and recovery, along with an array of programs delivered as SaaS such as Microsoft SharePoint and Exchange.

All these cloud services are based on a single standard to make it easier for MSPs to deploy.

“We believe that IT service providers are best positioned to deliver and manage IT for small and medium businesses and that belief is reflected in the way the product was developed,” said Nick East, CEO of Zynstra.

As part of the standardization, Zynstra services are all based on HP ProLiant servers that are installed by IT service provider partners. “Zynstra also comes with all the management tools for IT service providers to help them easily manage multiple installations,” the company said. This management is all performed over the cloud, and allows for remote access for the service provider. Software updates, after testing by Zynstra, are rolled out the same way.

Here is what Zynstra says its new service offers:

  • Security with firewalls, anti-malware, anti-phishing, anti-spam and intrusion detection
  • File storage
  • Domain control and authentication with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Backup and recovery
  • Internet gateway with content filtering
  • Apps including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Sage 50 as well as integrations with remote cloud based services such as Microsoft Office365

Channel Focus

Zynstra, founded in 1996, claims to be 100 percent focused on the channel and offers partners help with sales and marketing, solution management and support and deployment.
