If three’s a crowd, then the cloud backup market is more than just loaded – it is positively jam packed.
For MSPs this creates a critical choice, and perhaps a feast of riches – which cloud backup company do you partner with?
Vembu hopes all eyes turn to India as the Chennai-based company just updated its cloud data protection tool in the form of StoreGrid 4.4.
At the same time, Vembu upgraded its SyncBlaze file sharing tool, an offering the company hopes MSPs will aim right at the heart of the burgeoning BYOD market.
Vembu’s main channel includes VARs and service providers.
“Vembu's cloud data protection solution, StoreGrid and cloud content management solution, SyncBlaze together provide an affordable platform for Managed Service Providers, Managed Hosting Providers and Value Added Resellers to boost their customer base and revenues by broadening their managed services offering to their business customers. Since 2004, Vembu’s award winning cloud solutions have delivered tangible value to over 3500 partners worldwide who manage, protect and administer over 50 PB of business critical data,” the company said.
On the storage side, StoreGrid can be deployed as a hybrid service meaning there is a tier of backup on premises and another tier in the cloud.
“With StoreGrid 4.4, our partners will be armed with a comprehensive and affordable backup & disaster recovery (BDR) solution,” said Srivatsan Venkatesan, Vice-President of Vembu Technologies. “We enable partners to meet their service RTO and RPO commitments through exciting features like vStorage API (VADP) based VMware Backups, Advanced Disk Backups with Instant Virtualization, Synthetic Image Consolidation Technology with Backup Verification, Granular Exchange Mailbox Recovery, Labtech Integration and StoreGrid NOC services.”
MSP partner Konica Minolta, All Covered IT Services is ready to exploit the new storage tool. “StoreGrid is on the forefront of coming up with innovative features for the Managed Service Providers and we are excited to take advantage of some of the latest features going to be made available in StoreGrid v 4.4,” said Doug Ford, Director of Network Operations, All Covered.
Blazing a SyncBlaze Trail
SyncBlaze, meanwhile, is a file sharing tool that lets BYOD users access and share corporate data safely, even when not using a corporate device. “With SyncBlaze, Partners can deliver a secure, enterprise-grade, device-agnostic file sharing solution to address the rapid BYOD adoption by businesses,” said Sai V. Nagarajan, Vice-President of Vembu Technologies. “We have created a ubiquitous, collaborative user experience while still retaining security and visibility around content through key features like Instant File Synchronization, Folder Link Sharing, Terminal Server Support, Remote Wipe, Comprehensive Audit Trails and Comprehensive Active Directory Integration.”
A StoreGrid partner is now ready to push SyncBlaze as well. ”We have used StoreGrid for over 6 years, and were excited to hear we could further expand our relationship with Vembu by using their SyncBlaze product. SyncBlaze, as an on-premise solution for customers worried about their data being stored outside of their control, answers a lot of our customer concerns in one go,” said Roland Scott, Managing Director at SCDC Ltd.
