Network Security Provider Fortinet Announces MSSP Partner Program

Network Security Provider Fortinet Announces MSSP Partner Program

By Laura Stotler

A new four-point program geared toward managed security service providers (MSSPs) in the EMEA and APAC regions has been announced by Fortinet. The company, a provider of high-performance network security, is supporting MSSPs through pricing, technical support and training and marketing programs tailored to the managed security services space.

The new Fortinet MSSP Partner Program aims to help new and existing MSSPs grow their businesses via infrastructure enablement along with go-to-market and specialized expert support. The program has two tiers to suit a wide range of business models and operational capacities. This includes smaller security integration companies, pure-play MSSPs and large telecom providers.

The partner program centers on four main components, including infrastructure enablement, which provides discounts and service empowerment to MSSPs. Promotional discounts on pre-defined packages are meant to keep costs low and include a cloud-based management and logging service called the FortiCloud.

The second area of focus is business development, including service creation and boosting recurring revenues. The program provides market intelligence along with industry best practices based on studies of various MSSPs and business models, including premise-based, cloud and hybrid configurations. Partners also gain visibility into renewable revenues through automated tracking of subscriptions and service renewals, which are delivered through a central management system.

An additional component is marketing and sales support, including corporate and sales tools like lead distribution, promotions, communication, sales resources and marketing support. The final component of the program is specialized support for MSSPs, in which experts, training and resources are made available to partners. These include an MSSP Cookbook and resource library, along with a support overlay to help partners build service efficiencies.

"Our solutions are highly scalable, allowing providers to start small and grow their business as their customer base grows," said Emilio Roman, vice president of international sales operations at Fortinet. "Fortinet's solutions were built specifically to address the requirements of managed security service provider demands and their customers, giving an MSSP everything it needs to realize greater business efficiencies and higher profit margins."
