MSSP Citadel Chooses AccelOps Platform for its Utility-Based SIEM Services

By Laura Stotler

U.K. managed security service provider (MSSP) Citadel Data Security Services has selected AccelOps, Inc. to provide its managed security and infrastructure monitoring. The company is a provider of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), as well as performance and availability monitoring software for cloud-based data centers and on-premise installations.

AccelOps is providing Citadel with continuous monitoring and alerting for security and network operations, and is also helping the company with customized compliance reporting. The AccelOps integrated software platform monitors security, performance and availability across all aspects of the IT infrastructure, both in the cloud and on premises.

The platform is based on distributed real-time analytics technology, which examines and sorts behavior patterns that span servers, storage, network, security, users and applications. The results may be used to rapidly detect and resolve problems. Features include single-click customer on-boarding, automated discovery capabilities and virtual appliance deployment. This lets MSPs easily deliver services and generate revenue while eliminating capital expenditures and realizing operational cost efficiencies.

"Every Citadel customer needs all of the functionality, availability and service levels of a larger firm," said Neil Morgan, CEO of Citadel Data Security Services. "We found that other SIEM vendors' products could not scale adequately and did not provide the flexibility and agility we need to deliver on our vision of SIEM as a utility. AccelOps has built a leading-edge integrated platform that is ideal for managed services and is refreshingly easy to deploy and manage. Equally important, AccelOps is committed to its managed service providers, and their product reflects that focus with its native multi-tenancy, high-performance scalability and flexible license structure."

Citadel offers flexibility to its customers through subscription-based services that create a cost-effective alternative to deploying and managing SIEM in-house as well as monitoring operations. The company's customers are small businesses, departments and government agencies, and services meet a number of compliance requirements and regulations including PCI DSS and Good Practice Guide 13 (GPG13).

"We are delighted that Citadel has chosen AccelOps as the platform on which to build its SIEMaaS and network operations services," said Flint Brenton, president and CEO of AccelOps. "The team at Citadel really knows what they want, and we are very impressed with their expertise and rigorous evaluation process. This promises to be a strong business relationship for Citadel and AccelOps, given our shared commitment to innovation, value and customer service."
