By Laura Stotler

Cloud services and Web hosting provider Media Temple has launched a variety of new products and services. The new offerings are designed to enhance customer experience as well as offer time-saving solutions for enterprises, small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The company has made a number of upgrades and enhancements to its DV VPS hosting platform and has also debuted its CloudTech Premium Support technical service platform. The combined offerings are designed to offer a comprehensive solution for customers along with Technical Support as a Service (TSaaS).

The new version of the company's VPS managed hosting platform is known as DV Managed. It enables LAMP applications to run 25 percent faster than the previous version, with backups and maintenance completed 10 times faster. The offering is also pre-loaded with a number of software packages like Apache, MySQL, PHP and Plesk Panel 11 from Parallels. It also features SLAs promising five-nines of server availability as well as 24/7 uptime.

The DV Developer component, previously called (ve), offers the same performance increases and includes Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora and Debian. It also provides rebootless updates, improved stats using vSwap and unlimited scalability. The DV Enterprise solution, previously known as (dpv) Nitro, offers fast, single-tenant VPS hosting and comes with Plesk Panel 11 or without.

Media Temple's new CloudTech technical service platform offers solutions from certified CloudTech engineers at the application code level. It features a 24/7 multichannel support system for a deeper and more in-depth level of support and access.

"When you combine our enhanced DV platform with the premium technical support you get with CloudTech, it's easier than ever to run a successful digital business," said Russell P. Reeder, president and COO of Media Temple. "We are innovating on digital infrastructure so our customers don't have to."

"We are on a mission to make things more simple for our customers," added Demian Sellfors, co-founder and CEO of Media Temple. "We now offer managed services so businesses can focus on what counts most, and we also now offer streamlined platforms that allow developers to reach their goals faster. Our new DV is the most efficient digital infrastructure we've ever built."
