Iomart Group Declared Europe's Top MSP

By Shankar Pandiath

Iomart Group Plc., a provider of managed hosting and cloud computing services in the UK, has been declared Europe’s Top MSP (Managed Service Providers) in the annual list compiled by MSPmentor.

Iomart Group topped the MSPmentor 50 EMEA list and was listed 10th on MSPmentor’s highly coveted 501 Global Edition. This is a double honor as this is the highest ranking for any European based MSP.

The MSPmentor list is annually compiled by Nine Lives Media.

MSPmentor Global 501 report recognizes top MSPs and independently prepares an annual list of the providers and ranks the world’s top managed service providers based on metrics. These metrics include success of a provider on the basis of thier annual managed services revenue growth, managed services offered, revenue per employee and customer devices managed.

Angus MacSween, Iomart Group’s chief executive officer, said that they were delighted with the new recognition. He also attributed their success to the quality managed services with high-quality service level agreement back-ups. He mentioned their new investment in expanding data center capacity and the new super-fast fiber network which would help them build on their success by providing the best connectivity and support to customers throughout the UK and Europe.

The Managed Service Providers industry is steadily growing and according to this year’s global 501 list, the annual combined recurring revenue of the providers have increased by about 25 percent. The resulting gain is about $2.5 billion.

According to Joe Panettieri, the editorial director at Nine Lives Media, the MSPs have been managing about 400,000 smartphones and tablets, in addition to over 5.6 million PCs and servers annually and these numbers only keep on growing.

Iomart Group specializes in the delivery and management of cost effective and secure mission-control hosting services and is one of UK‘s leading providers of managed hosting and cloud computing services.
