Movius to deliver Visual Voicemail service to Monaco Telecom

By Shankar Pandiath

Movius Interactive Corporation, a global leader in application enablement for service providers, has been appointed by Monaco Telecom to implement its CAFÉ platform to replace the service provider's current fixed-line and mobile voicemail services.

As part of the agreement, Movius will replace the fixed-line service with a voicemail service and the mobile service with its Visual Voicemail (VVM) service for Android and iPhone. Around 70,000 of Monaco Telecom subscribers will benefit from the roll-out of new and improved replaced services.

Movius Visual Voicemail allows users to see a list of messages using their smartphone. This VVM service supports Android and Blackberry devices and it was recently made compatible with the iPhone allowing operators to cover a large customer base.

Monaco Telecom will also host the Movius European CAFE Cloud service, allowing other European service providers to use the CAFE platform from its hosted service, and roll it out to their end users. The CAFÉ Cloud solution is used in multiple applications and its cloud environment will allow service providers to deploy applications remotely and efficiently to their end users.

Martin Péronnet, chief executive officer of Monaco Telecom, said: “As we grow it is crucial for us to quickly provide our customers with new applications and services so as to remain competitive in the market. Our relationship with Movius allows us to upgrade our services and roll-out relevant applications to our subscribers using one platform, with the potential for future growth, making it a more economical solution for us.”

“Operators in this day and age need to be cutting-edge and provide their customers with what they want when they want it, while watching their cost base,” added Dominic Gomez, president and chief executive officer of Movius. “The cloud solution is the perfect answer to this and by hosting the service and upgrading its current voicemail applications, Monaco Telecom is displaying the innovation and forward-thinking required by operators to remain at the top of their game.”

Movius had recently launched its myIdentities BYOD solution, to address the challenges of the growing BYOD trend for enterprises, employees and operators.
