NovaTech Managed IT Services Now Available

By Michael Guta

According to MarketsandMarkets, the managed services market is estimated to grow from $142.75 billion in 2013 to $256.05 billion in 2018, at an estimated CAGR of 12.4 percent from 2013 to 2018. The growth is primarily being driven by high-tech and communications verticals as organizations of all sizes around the world continue to deploy IT and communications services, whether it be on-premises or in the cloud. Implementing managed services is responsible for reducing IT costs by 30 to 40 percent in the enterprise while at the same time providing the organization flexibility to adapt new technologies. NovaTech, a LookSmart Company, operating a cloud infrastructure platform built for Internet scale, announced its managed IT service designed to meet the demand for managed services is now available.

The company is putting together a combination of managed services, specialized hosting  and private VPN services in order to provide organizations looking to address the complexity of today's business environment that is being driven by network IT.

The NovaTech platform is a cloud-based service which includes a private cloud ecosystem with multivendor enterprise technologies and capabilities to support organizations that need to scale their IT operations as it is needed with a robust security protocol.

Scalability and security are two of the most important components for large enterprises with a global presence. Whether it is a marketing campaign for a particular product or incremental growth that requires periodic adjustments in capacity, the ability to scale makes it possible for an organization to continue to grow without any obstacles.

“Social, Search, Mobile and Big-Data applications from startups to enterprises can gain an operational advantage with NovaTech's hyper-scaling expertise that can power an organization's most critical data-intensive workloads at the intersection of this generation's defining trends,” said Michael Onghai, LookSmart's CEO.

The managed infrastructure services the company provides include: data center, network, communication, storage, monitoring, technical and maintenance services along with NOC operations and application delivery networks. The company designs, deploys and manages core IT infrastructure for its customers with 24x7x365 elastic, high-performance and high-availability infrastructure through its global network of data centers for high-workload environments and major enterprise programs covering complex and multi-site solutions.

The Managed Virtualization services include:

  • Management of the entirely abstracted hardware tier of servers, storage and networks
  • VMware or KVM based hypervisor
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) support via VMware SRM.
  • Management of the underlying hardware and its respective pooling and abstraction technologies.
  • Integration w/client on-premise systems or data center.
  • If needed a hybrid cloud of bare-metal and VM.
  • Hight-performance file storage, low-latency storage, server consolidation and integration with other clouds and other data centers.

“The Data Center includes enterprise and carrier-grade managed IT Operations. With the agility of a high-speed tech startup, NovaTech can deploy and support robust advanced technology capabilities for customer requirements, strategic relationships, and partner engagements,” said John Raven, NovaTech's President and Chief Operations Officer.
