Continuum Launches C3 IaaS Management Platform to Help MSPs Transition to the Cloud

Continuum Launches C3 IaaS Management Platform to Help MSPs Transition to the Cloud

By Laura Stotler

Continuum is striving to make cloud management simple for its MSP partners with the launch of a new IaaS management platform. The new Continuum Cloud Console (C3) enables service providers to easily create, manage and monitor virtual servers to better meet the needs of their SMB customers.

The platform also lets MSPs support a variety of cloud infrastructure from a single platform, since Continuum has observed many of its service provider partners managing hybrid environments comprised on cloud and on-premises components.

The C3 offering features Continuum’s integrated remote management and monitoring (RMM) capabilities as well as the option to use public cloud infrastructure managed through the company’s IT Support portal. This capitalizes on the company’s relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS), with C3 resources initially running on their infrastructure. By combining trusted AWS resources with Continuum network infrastructure and scalability, the C3 offering is tailored specifically to the needs of MSPs. Continuum also plans to support additional cloud and IaaS providers to give MSPs a variety of options and pricing.

"Continuum is making it possible for MSPs to deliver cloud technology very efficiently to clients and at the client's pace and readiness, making them relevant in today's cloud economy and solidifying the future of the channel,” said Michael George, CEO of Continuum.

Dee Zepf, vice president of products and technical services at Continuum, added that IaaS offers a number of benefits to SMBs, who are increasingly discovering its flexibility, scalability and the attractiveness of a monthly payment model. C3 is an important component in helping MSPs transition to the cloud to meet the needs of their SMB clients.

Continuum is also offering its MSP partners educational sessions and tools to help them with sales and marketing of managed cloud services. The company maintains a 24/7 network operations center (NOC), providing round the clock technical expertise as well.

MSP Waypoint Solutions Group, which manages critical IT infrastructure for clients, is a beta customer using the C3 offering. According to Dan Wilson, president and CEO, the platform is intuitive and easy to use and takes into account the specific needs of MSPs. Overall, he said that C3 offers features that will make his company’s technicians more efficient as well as ease client migration to the cloud.
