MCI Grows MSP Customer Base

MCI Grows MSP Customer Base

By David Delony

MCI Consultants has revealed that it has grown its managed service provider customer base.

The company, based in Johannesburg, provides IT solutions to small and medium businesses in South Africa, the rest of the continent and even worldwide. The company’s services include project management, product development, supplying hardware and providing network and communications services.

“Our experience suggests there are always significant benefits to be gained from the automation of many of the ‘so-called’ tedious processes that exist within an organization,” explained Aliki Droussiotis, director of MCI Consultants. “This has already been recognised by the growing number of our clients that have embraced and adopted our managed services solution. The benefits they have realised include having access to unlimited remote and telephone support from the MCI helpdesk; faster reaction and turnaround time; the automation of routine IT management tasks; 24x7 monitoring of all their workstations and servers; less downtime; and the proactive management of their operations to prevent problems from arising in the first place.”

These new customers include Benicon, a provider of open cast mining operations; Radio Data Communications (RDC), a provider of long-range radio equipment; Ritchie Crane Hire, a company providing crane hire and rigging and Rosnovanu & Associates Consulting, a civilian engineering and construction company.

“We are always looking for opportunities to increase the efficiency and productivity of our operations,” said Brent Andreka of RDC. “With the adoption of MCI’s managed services capability, we have seen this and achieved some significant cost savings. However, it is always vital that the partner chosen for this type of activity has a strong proven record of delivering on its promises. With MCI, this has always been the case and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with them over the coming months and years."
