ICYMI: From the MSP Market

By Greg Tavarez

To stay ahead of the curve, MSPs need to be aware of emerging trends and technologies that prepare them to deliver enhanced services to their clients. In recent news, the MSP space saw some big moves. Cyware recently appointed Stephan Tallent as the new Head of Managed Security Service Providers Program, which is bound to make an impact in the MSSP market.

Also, ExtraHop launched its new partner program to create maximum value and opportunity for partners modernizing security infrastructures and brought in Christine Camp, with more than 20 years of experience, to lead the program. We even saw a sports franchise look at MSP services with the Cleveland Guardians selecting Windstream’s services to bolster their IT performance

However, those aren’t all the big trends occurring in the MSP space. In this version of ICYMI, partnerships and product enhancements are on track to make waves on the market. So, let’s take a look:

Mergers and Acquisitions in the IT Services Space

Aureon, a provider of business connectivity solutions, announced the acquisition of Cloud and Managed IT Clients from Northwest Communications Cooperative Association. This move expands Aureon's service offerings and strengthens its presence in the northwest Iowa region.

Enhanced Threat Detection and Response

NuHarbor Security, a managed security service provider, launched a Microsoft Sentinel Managed Extended Detection and Response service. This offering provides organizations with advanced threat detection, expert analysis and response recommendations by using the capabilities provided by the Microsoft Sentinel security platform.

Redcoat AI Emerges with Funding

Redcoat AI, a cybersecurity company specializing in countering AI-powered threats, announced its public launch after securing $4.24 million in funding. The company's platform offers a two-pronged approach: on-demand red teaming services for social engineering simulations and mobile defense solutions for comprehensive protection across messaging platforms.

Arrow Electronics Reveals AI-powered Cloud Assistant

Arrow Electronics, a global technology solutions provider, introduced ArrowSphere Assistant, an AI-powered cloud business companion designed for channel partners. Built on Microsoft Azure AI, this tool streamlines workflows, generates reports and facilitates data visualization to empower partners with actionable insights for optimizing cloud business operations.

CrowdStrike Partners with HCLTech to Strengthen Managed Detection and Response

CrowdStrike, a provider of cloud security, announced a strategic partnership with HCLTech, a global technology company. This collaboration integrates CrowdStrike's Falcon XDR platform with HCLTech's MDR solutions. Combined, the solution offers organizations a comprehensive security suite with AI-powered threat detection and response capabilities.

Something is always happening in the MSP space. From AI-powered threat detection to cloud-based business assistants, the industry is embracing innovation to elevate security postures, streamline operations and unlock new revenue streams.
