Endpoint security, or the practices and tools used to safeguard individual devices such as laptops, desktops and mobile phones from cyber threats, is crucial for several reasons. Namely, the expanding use of personal devices for work purposes, coupled with the increasing sophistication and prevalence of cyberattacks, has created a larger attack surface for malicious actors. Also, even a single compromised endpoint can provide a gateway for attackers to infiltrate an entire network, potentially causing significant disruption and financial losses.
Therefore, implementing robust endpoint security measures, which may include antivirus software, intrusion detection, application control and data encryption, is essential for organizations and individuals alike.
And a big wave has splashed into the endpoint security space.
NinjaOne, a provider of endpoint management, security and visibility tools, and SentinelOne, a cybersecurity company, recently launched a product integration that aims to simplify endpoint protection for enterprise security teams. This integration merges functionalities from both companies' platforms, combining IT operations and security functions.
The joint offering leverages NinjaOne's endpoint management and remote monitoring and management tools alongside SentinelOne's Singularity Control endpoint protection platform and Singularity Complete endpoint detection and response solution.
Teams can view threat alerts from SentinelOne directly within the NinjaOne platform and switch to the affected device in the SentinelOne console for investigation and remediation with a single click.
“In automating endpoint protection deployment and providing seamless one-click integration between our platforms when a threat is detected, we are effectively consolidating IT and security into a single view and empowering them to work more proactively and efficiently,” said Rahul Hirani, Senior Vice President of Product Management at NinjaOne.
Technicians receive real-time notifications about threats through various channels, including SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, email and directly within the NinjaOne platform.
Additionally, NinjaOne can use policies to automatically deploy the SentinelOne agent to endpoints, while existing SentinelOne users can leverage the integration to centralize their security management within the NinjaOne platform.
Phillip Mariscal, IT Director at California Truck Centers, is a satisfied user of the integration. He commends its ease of use, highlighting the swift deployment and time-saving benefits of confirming threat legitimacy directly within NinjaOne. He also emphasized the integration's ability to provide comprehensive security visibility for his entire team, enhancing their overall productivity.
“The combination of SentinelOne and NinjaOne introduces a paradigm shift in how we approach cybersecurity and IT operations,” said Ken Marks, Vice President, Global Channels at SentinelOne. “Our integration leverages AI-driven security solutions to provide IT, MSPs and security teams with real-time insights and threat correlations.”
