Vision Solutions Evolves Managed Resilience Offering

Vision Solutions Evolves Managed Resilience Offering

By Paula Bernier

Availability. Security. Survivability. These are among the most important considerations for companies and their IT teams today.

That’s why Vision Solutions sells, and continues to evolve, its managed resilience offering. This offering addresses disaster recovery, high availability, and now security as well. And it provides management of Enforcive, iTERA, MIMIX, and OMS/ODS environments.

“Business resilience requires a multi-layered strategy, combining HA/DR, security, and managed services to envelop and protect critical systems and data, whether at rest or in motion,” said Terry Plath, Vice President of Global Services at Syncsort. “While organizations often purchase applications for HA/DR and security with the intent of handling tasks in house, many quickly realize this may not be the best approach for a variety of reasons, from limited IT staff to lack of requisite expertise. Vision Solutions delivers the special skillsets required and removes burdens from IT staff by handling the day-to-day management of resilient environments.”

Centerbridge Partners LP in August acquired and combined Syncsort and Vision Solutions. The resulting company serves more than 6,000 business customers around the world.

Syncsort was a big data and big iron solution provider. As noted, Vision Solutions sells business resilience solutions. And a month before the combination of these two companies, Vision Solutions bought Enforcive Systems, an IT security and compliance management solution provider.

Vision Solutions says its new managed resilience offering provides businesses with the following benefits:

• Affordability through varying levels of support that scales to meet needs and budgets;

• Leading technology with automatic upgrades, system maintenance and regulatory compliance, reducing burdens on internal IT teams;

• Peace of mind for both IT teams and executives that their critical operations are in good hands; and

• Proactive HA/DR and security expertise and customer support, affording an extra layer of protection against continuity issues driven by factors like an aging and retiring workforce.
