Verizon and Qualys Expand Managed Services Partnership for Cloud-Based IT Security, Compliance Management Services

By Laura Stotler

Cloud security and compliance management solutions provider, Qualys Inc., has announced an agreement with Verizon to deliver new advanced, cloud-based IT security and compliance management services.

The partnership will expand on the companies' relationship and reinforce Verizon's portfolio of global managed security solutions.

New managed service offerings include vulnerability management, Web application scanning, PCI and policy compliance solutions designed for organizations throughout the world. Services will be available to Verizon's enterprise clients, who will be able to utilize the benefits of the QualysGuard Cloud Platform.

The platform offers performance, scalability and security features to protect enterprise customers' IT assets and Web applications from cyber attacks, as well as to automate compliance. Verizon is also planning to layer additional analytics to complement the managed services through its own proprietary risk models.

This will give clients actionable information about their security risk posture.

The QualysGuard Cloud Platform comes with an integrated suite of security and compliance solutions to give companies of all sizes a comprehensive, global view of their security and compliance posture. It also helps organizations reduce their total cost of ownership. The QualysGuard Cloud Suite provides vulnerability management, malware detection services, policy and PCI compliance and Web application scanning.

It also features the Qualys SECURE Seal, which helps customers identify their IT assets and collect and analyze a large amount of IT security data. This enables them to discover and prioritize vulnerabilities and malware, as well as recommend remediation actions and verify the implementation of those actions.

"Qualys' cloud platform, commitment to innovation and global reach have made them a leader in the security services space," said Cindy Bellefeuille Stanton, director of security product management for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. "By incorporating these solutions into our managed services and consulting offerings, our clients now have more choice and flexibility in meeting their compliance and security requirements -- a growing area of focus for our clients."

"Verizon has built an impressive global managed security and consulting practice and together we will deliver leading edge IT security and compliance solutions to organizations around the world," said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO, Qualys. "Our expanded relationship will pay big dividends for enterprises looking to strengthen their security defense."
