MSPs Gain White-Label Java Compliance and Insight Services with Azul Intelligence Cloud

By Erik Linask

As enterprises face rising software audit risks, mounting cybersecurity pressures, and growing demands for application modernization, MSPs are under increasing pressure to deliver deeper insights and proactive solutions for their clients.  These challenges are particularly acute in Java environments, where shifting Oracle licensing models, sprawling runtime deployments, and high false-positive vulnerability alerts create costly inefficiencies.

Azul, which is exclusively focused on Java, is trying to address these needs with its new MSP program, built on its Azul Intelligence Cloud platform.  The program is a white-label offering that enables MSPs to embed Azul Intelligence Cloud capabilities into their service offerings under their own branding – with a “powered by Azul” moniker.

Azul Intelligence Cloud is a SaaS platform designed to give organizations deep visibility into their Java environments.  It continuously analyzes telemetry from Java applications in production, turning runtime data into actionable insights for compliance, security, and modernization.  By mapping every Java Virtual Machine (JVM) in use – whether Oracle Java, Azul, or any OpenJDK variant – it provides an accurate inventory of all deployed runtimes, helping organizations stay ahead of licensing obligations and reduce audit risks.

Partners get sublicensing and white-label access to key SaaS features, including:

  • JVM Inventory for runtime detection and detailed tracking of every Java Virtual Machine (JVM) in use – whether Oracle Java, Azul, or any OpenJDK distribution.
  • Vulnerability Detection, which filters security alerts down to class-level execution data in production to eliminate up to 99% of false positives.
  • Code Inventory, identifying dead or unused Java code to streamline modernization and reduce maintenance overhead.

For MSPs, this launch addresses three pressing challenges in today’s IT landscape:

  • Complex Licensing & Compliance – Oracle’s evolving Java licensing model has created uncertainty and audit risk.  MSPs can now provide continuous license visibility and advisory services, helping clients avoid costly penalties.
  • Growing Security Demands – Rising cyber attacks mean enterprises can’t afford to chase false positives.  Azul’s runtime-aware vulnerability detection reduces noise and enables MSPs to deliver actionable, prioritized security insights.
  • Digital Modernization & Cost Pressures – Enterprises face pressure to modernize applications while managing costs.  Code Inventory helps MSPs guide clients in eliminating unused code, reducing technical debt, and reclaiming up to 40% of developer time for innovation.

“By giving partners full, managed access to Azul Intelligence Cloud, we’re equipping them to deliver turnkey services where they can put clear, actionable reporting and insights into the hands of their customers’ decision makers,” said Simon Taylor, VP of Global Channel and Alliances at Azul.  “Ultimately, this mitigates license audit risk and cost, surfacing critical vulnerabilities proactively and reclaiming developer capacity for their customers.”

Azul’s MSP program reflects a broader trend that is seeing MSPs become strategic advisors to their clients in many areas, including software licensing, security, and modernization.  They are no longer merely operational support providers.  As enterprise Java environments grow more fragmented, MSPs that can deliver continuous compliance oversight and real-time security intelligence, to gain a competitive advantage.  For clients, this means reduced audit risk, fewer security blind spots, and faster application modernization, without having to incur additional operational costs.

Azul’s MSP Program gives partners a ready-made, white-labeled platform for delivering high-value Java compliance, security, and modernization services.  It gives MSPs a new recurring revenue stream, while helping enterprises navigate a rapidly changing IT and licensing landscape.
