Arctic Wolf Revamps MSP Channel, adds Endpoint Security

By Erik Linask

Endpoint security remains a cornerstone of any robust cybersecurity strategy.  Endpoints – encompassing everything from laptops and desktops to mobile devices and servers – represent the entry points to an organization's network.  Perhaps it’s because they are so prevalent in every business, but statistics underscore their critical vulnerability, asserting that nearly all successful cyberattacks (and as many as 70% of data breaches) begin at the endpoint, underscoring that endpoints are a high-priority target for malicious actors, whose attacks can range from pervasive ransomware and sophisticated phishing campaigns to stealthy malware and zero-day exploits.

A single compromised device can lead to significant financial loss, data breaches, and reputational damage.  While the average cost of a data breach is just under $5 million (according to IBM’s 2024 Cost of a Data Breach Report), Ponemon Institute reported just a few years ago that successful endpoint attacks can cost nearly twice that.

Clearly, prioritizing endpoint security should be a priority, though that may not be the case.  Verizon reported just last year that it businesses seem to be falling short, as 89% of respondents to its 2024 Mobile Security Index report said organization should take mobile device security more seriously.

There are challenges, certainly, to safeguarding today’s distributed digital perimeters, including the sheer complexity of modern IT environments, which include diverse devices, operating systems, and the proliferation of remote and hybrid workforces.  Collectively, they create an expanded attack surface that is more difficult to defend.  Many organizations also struggle with tool sprawl –  the need to manage too many disparate security products, which can lead to alert fatigue where genuine threats are missed in a sea of threat notifications or, at the very least, there are delays addressing them.  Furthermore, the specialized expertise and 24/7 vigilance required for effective endpoint detection and response often exceed the internal capabilities of many businesses – which is why the MSP continues to play a more critical role in cybersecurity.

Recognizing that MSPs are well-positioned to bridge the cybersecurity gap for businesses, Arctic Wolf has doubled down on its commitment to the market, revamping its MSP partner program, through which it offers a comprehensive solution to the challenges of endpoint security.

Arctic Wolf’s enhanced MSP program is specifically designed to help MSPs meet cybersecurity challenges head-on.  It offers scalable pricing models, simplified deal structures, and resources to help MSPs to expand profitably.  The program focuses on progressive volume pricing, meaning MSPs enjoy more favorable rates as their businesses grow.  It also features progressive deal minimums to help MSPs enter the market easily, and volume commit agreements for immediate preferred pricing on multi-year plans.

“The MSP market is one of the most dynamic segments in cybersecurity,”   said Will Briggs, SVP, global channels at Arctic Wolf.  “We’ve designed every part of this offering around partner success, removing friction, rewarding growth, and giving MSPs the ability to deliver modern security operations and advanced endpoint protection to their customers faster and more profitably than ever before.”

Complementing the redesigned MSP program, Arctic Wolf has also launched Aurora Endpoint Security for MSPs.  This new offering provides the flexible, scalable protection of Aurora Endpoint Security, seamlessly integrated into the Arctic Wolf Aurora Platform.  Aurora Endpoint Security collects insights from more than 10,000 customers and more than 8 trillion weekly security observations, creating a massive data repository, enabling detection and response to advanced and emerging threats with greater efficacy.

The Aurora Platform's vendor-agnostic approach ensures it works seamlessly with a wide range of existing endpoint, network, cloud, and identity solutions, offering MSPs maximum flexibility and value.

With these strategic initiatives, Arctic Wolf reinforces its channel commitment – as evidenced by more than 2,200 partners worldwide.  It couldn’t come at a better time, as cyber threats continue to pummel businesses, and MSPs need the tools to fight back effectively.
