Communications and managed services provider BCM One announced a key leadership transition with the appointment of Sandy Preizler as its new CEO. Preizler, a seasoned executive with a formidable track record of scaling cloud and software businesses, will take over from Geoff Bloss , who is stepping down as CEO and will transition to an advisory position and continue to serve on BCM One’s Board of Directors. This move and, specifically, bringing on a CEO with Preizler’s pedigree, is a strategic move to build on the momentum Bloss helped create, and drive even more growth and deeper engagement across BCM One’s diverse portfolio and expansive partner ecosystem.
For Preizler, who comes to BCM One from Bandwidth, having served as its CRO just over three years, timing is everything when it some to the opportunity to lead a company coming off a very strong run under Bloss.
"I’ve known BCM One for a long time – they are a Bandwidth customer – and I got to know the MSP landscape very well during my time at Bandwidth," Preizler told me.
He describes BCM One as a “unicorn in the MSP space,” due to its unparalleled breadth of offerings—a characteristic that deeply resonates with his own career trajectory focused on comprehensive solutions and growth. "It's an opportunity to scale, drive growth – and that’s what I do,” he said.
His appointment comes at a moment when BCM One, backed by Thompson Street Capital Partners, is poised for its next phases of expansion. The Board, according to Jesse Klein, managing director at Thompson Street Capital Partners, is "thrilled to welcome Sandy" and supportive of the investments required to fuel the company's momentum. Preizler emphasized that Thompson Street provides deep pockets, ensuring the necessary resources to continue the company's ambitious growth trajectory.
A Career in Communications and Channel Mastery
Sandy Preizler
Preizler's extensive professional background perfectly aligns with the multifaceted nature of BCM One. At Bandwidth, he steered sales and marketing for a significant player in the telecommunications space. His prior role as SVP of Global Sales/CRO for the Hospitality division of NCR saw him lead sales of nearly $1 billion in cloud and licensed software, managed services, and hardware, consistently exceeding sales targets for five consecutive years while transitioning to a recurring revenue model.
His experience extends even further into the channel-centric world of communications. As Worldwide Head of Sales for Avaya’s Service Provider business, he grew revenue to an impressive $1.1 billion. Earlier, as Global Head of Channels and Distribution at Symbol Technologies Inc. (now Motorola), he managed $1.2 billion in revenue through a vast network of 40 global distributors and 10,000 reselling partners. Preizler began his career at Cisco, where he spent nearly a decade in key domestic and international sales leadership roles, including living in Paris as the EMEA Sales Leader for the Mobile Service Provider business and significantly growing the U.S. Channel business.
He says all that experience has prepared him well for this next stage of his professional career.
"It’s really about prior experience," Preizler stated, reflecting on his history. “BCM One brings together my entire experience," specifically noting to a very high level of experience and comfort with BCM One's diverse routes to market: sell direct, sell with, and sell through.
A Dual Focus for Continued Growth
Under Geoff Bloss's leadership over the past six years, BCM One embarked on an aggressive and highly successful series of acquisitions that fundamentally reshaped the company's scale and capabilities. This inorganic growth strategy, combined with significant organic expansion, propelled BCM One's overall size by a remarkable 350 percent.
During Bloss’ tenure, the company's portfolio evolved from a more singular focus to encompass six distinct and reputable brands: BCM One Enterprise Solutions, Pure IP, SkySwitch, SIP.US, SIPTRUNK, and Flowroute.
Preizler highlighted that these additions not only diversified BCM One's service offerings, extending its reach across enterprise voice, global network connectivity, white-label UCaaS, and self-service SIP solutions, but also broadened its market presence to serve organizations of all sizes, from SMBs to large enterprises, across the U.S. and internationally.
It was an aggressive, yet calculated, expansion that transformed BCM One into the comprehensive next-generation communications and managed services provider it is today. But, BCM One isn’t resting on its laurels; Preizler indicated a clear dual strategy going forward, a clear sign the company remains committed to aggressive expansion.
“You’re going to see a real doubling down in investment on organic growth," he said, also pointing to the potential for additional complementary acquisitions. “We are going to do both – we aren’t going to stop looking.”
Could that include any of the competitive white label UCaaS providers? While Preizler wouldn’t confirm that market as an acquisition target, it’s a market that was key part of BCM One’s string of acquisitions – it acquired both SkySwitch (January) and CoreDial (November) in 2021.
UCaaS has played a significant role in building BCM One’s momentum but, on a broader level, its success is driven by its diversified portfolio. With its six brands, it covers enterprise voice and network connectivity, white-label UCaaS for MSPs and other partners, and self-service SIP trunks. At the same time, Preizler sees significant opportunity in the UC landscape, noting that, while many companies are still updating from older to modern systems, there's also a considerable cloud to cloud migration happening as businesses seek better experiences from their providers.
He specifically highlighted SkySwitch's leadership in the white-label UCaaS market, emphasizing its strong relationship with local partners who serve as a key differentiator against competitors, especially those selling branded solutions. SkySwitch’s recently launched Foundations program , an extension of its white-label partner program, introduces a “bill on behalf” model, further diversifying BCM One's reach to both partners and end users.
People-Centric Leadership
Preizler had nothing but praise for his predecessor, crediting his leadership in transforming BCM One: “Geoff’s experience and leadership transformed BCM One, consistently growing value for the company and its customers, partners, and employees.”
Preizler, who would rather talk about the company and the other individuals contributing to its success than himself, is committed to BCM One's customer-first culture. He intends to deeply immerse himself in the organization, noting that he has already embarked on a “listening tour” to meet with the BCM One team, its partners, and its customers. It’s that kind of collaborative effort he says will ensure BCM One and its partners continue to thrive.
“I am getting deep into the organization to get to know everyone, and I can tell you Geoff is very highly respected in the organization,” he said. “That’s something I strive to emulate.”
Preizler also noted that he has gotten to know Bloss well during the transition process and, importantly, looks forward to their continued collaboration both during the transition and beyond. He highlighted the value of being having Bloss stay with the company as an advisor and Board member, and being able to work with Bloss, the architect of the company’s growth strategy for the past six years.
Talking about the transition process and his next steps during the weeks leading up him formally taking the reigns July 7, 2025, Preizler says, “That’s easy; the most important thing is having visibility to the truth and the only way to do that is to get out there and meet people. I believe the answers to success are inside the company and you just have to bring them out.”
“I also have to convince Paula to send me more shirts,” he joked, referring to CMO Paula Como Kauth, as he continues meeting the various partners, team members, and customers.
Coming off a strong, successful period under Geoff Bloss’ leadership, BCM One is ready for an exciting new chapter of innovation, strategic growth, and unwavering commitment to its vast ecosystem of customers and partners globally. Sandy Preizler certainly has the qualifications to write that chapter, and importantly, he has the mindset and personality that should blend well into BCM One’s culture – a factor that shouldn’t be underestimated as a success factor.
