Explore MSP M&A Opportunities at MSP Expo 2025

By Greg Tavarez

The MSP mergers and acquisitions, or M&A, market has really been buzzing with activity over the past few years, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. With the demand for IT services skyrocketing — thanks to remote work, cybersecurity threats and cloud adoption — MSPs are prime targets for investors and larger tech firms looking to expand their reach.

The appeal is clear: MSPs generate recurring revenue, have sticky customer bases and are essential players in today’s digital economy. This has driven private equity firms and strategic buyers to pour capital into the space.

What’s interesting is how the dynamics are evolving. It’s not just about scale anymore. Sure, the big players are still scooping up smaller ones to consolidate their market position, but niche MSPs specializing in verticals like healthcare, financial services or cybersecurity are just as attractive. Buyers seek value beyond size — like technical expertise, customer trust and solutions tailored to specific industries. This shift is driving a more strategic approach to acquisitions, with an emphasis on integrating complementary services rather than just stacking client rosters.

For MSP owners, this environment presents both opportunities and challenges.

To learn more about the opportunities, attend “The MSP M&A Landscape: Exploring Growth Opportunities,” a panel session at MSP Expo 2025 that is scheduled for 3:00-3:45 PM Tuesday, February 11 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During the panel session, attendees and the panel speakers will explore the multifaceted M&A paradigm, dissecting its nuances to create an understanding of what is required for a successful, growth-inducing transaction, regardless of which side of the transaction you’re on.

This is also an opportunity for attendees to understand valuation strategies and due diligence, strategic synergies, deal structuring, the post-merger integration process, and more, to better understand all aspects of the M&A journey.

MSP Expo 2025 (taking place February 11-13) is also a chance for network opportunities as well as a walkthrough of an exhibit hall full of the latest technologies and solutions to help MSPs build their businesses.
