Pax8 Continues Cyber Security Expansion, Adds Malwarebytes to Its Cloud Marketplace

By Juhi Fadia

Pax8 announced the continued expansion of its array of cybersecurity vendor offerings. The company is a growing cloud commerce marketplace serving over 25,000 MSPs worldwide, which, in turn provide cloud-first managed IT services to over a quarter million SMBs and SMEs.

Malwarebytes' all-in-one endpoint security portfolio, designed to safeguard MSPs and their clients from the constantly evolving threats posed by modern-day cybercriminals, can now be discovered, procured, provisioned, and managed on the Pax8 marketplace with PSA integrations, simplifying the way MSPs operate.

Malwarebytes addresses zero-day threats, ransomware, file-less attacks and exploits, and more, in addition to more basic malware challenges.

According to Emergen Research, The global Malware Analysis market size reached $5.30 Billion in 2021 and is expected to reach $61.87 Billion in 2030, registering a CAGR of 31.6%.

"At Pax8, we understand the vital role security plays in the technology industry, and we emphasize our strong commitment to offer our partners the finest cyber security solutions available from top vendors, such as Malwarebytes," said Sophie Merrifield, CVP of Vendor Operations at Pax8. "This partnership provides MSPs with a convenient and efficient way to enhance their client's security posture, strengthen their own businesses, and stay ahead of the latest cyber security threats."

Malwarebytes supports  MSPs’ need to stay ahead of today's evolving threats through continuous product innovation. Through the Pax8 Marketplace, MSPs can access Malwarebytes' entire security portfolio with ease. With a shared MSP emphasis, Pax8 and Malwarebytes say they are committed to providing MSPs with innovative technology and top-of-the-line security services to their clients, while scaling their businesses and remaining competitive in the ever-changing managed services landscape.

"Pax8 is the future of SaaS distribution, and, together, we can deliver cyber security solutions purpose-built for MSPs to help them future-proof their security posture," said Brian Thomas, VP of Global MSP and Channel Programs, Malwarebytes. "We have aggressive plans to continue to invest in our MSP offerings and security portfolio to reach even more partners with our award-winning solutions."

The Malwarebytes OneView platform empowers MSPs to deliver enterprise-class endpoint security solutions that drastically reduce customer malware infections and ransomware exposure. With centralized access to client sites, OneView streamlines endpoint security management, licensing subscriptions, role-based access, customer reporting, and more. With additional threat prevention modules and services such as DNS filtering and managed detection and response (MDR), partners can offer the right product or service to each customer, tailored to their specific needs.

Malwarebytes solutions available in the Pax8 Marketplace include:

  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
  • Endpoint Protection (EP)
  • Incident Response (IR)
  • Mobile Security
  • Vulnerability and Patch Management
  • DNS Filtering
  • Application Block
  • Managed Detection and Response service

Protecting organizations today is dramatically different than it was a decade ago, driven largely by the global pandemic, which forced nearly every business and government agency towards a remote working model. That, in turn, increased attack surfaces and created a surge in cyber threats, which isn’t likely to subside.

Gartner published a report at the end of 2022, saying in part:

Through 2025, security leaders who implement cross-team mobilization as part of their exposure management program will gain 50% more security optimization than those only prioritizing automated remediation.

Through 2026, non patchable attack surfaces will grow from less than 10% to more than half of the enterprise's total exposure, reducing the impact of automated remediation practices.

Through 2026, more than 60% of threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR) capabilities will leverage exposure management data to validate and prioritize detected threats, up from less than 5% today.

By 2027, the likelihood of breaches will increase threefold for organizations that fail to manage remote access architecture and processes continuously.
