netsapiens Releases Update to Unified Communications Platform to Enable Teleworking in a Snap

By Erik Linask

Dorothy was right, there’s no place like home.  It’s something millions of employees are coming to terms with as the world deals with the massive coronavirus outbreak that has now infected nearly a million people.  Just about every event has been cancelled or postponed and businesses have been instructed to have employees for from home to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

But for many, the simple fact is there’s no place like the office, because they didn’t see a need to deploy the right tools to enable mobile and remote workforces – or they simply didn’t have a need for it, until now.

With the latest release of its unified communications and collaboration platform, netsapiens, is making it easier for its reseller and MSP partners to bring a full UC&C suite to businesses to enable them to work effectively from anywhere they have connectivity.    The v41 release of the SNAP solution platform focuses on simplicity and enabling collaboration, both critically important as businesses adjust to what has become the new normal.

“Greater adoption of collaboration tools is rooted in the simplicity of their implementation and, as a result, we focused on enhancing our capabilities in that area,” said netsapiens’ SVP Products & Marketing, Jason Byrne, who spoke about the greatest UC&C opportunities at ITEXPO 2020 in February.  “Because of the recent, massive shift to remote working, the new collaboration tools within our latest v41 release will be key to keeping business operations as seamless as possible.”

In the midst of this crisis, the biggest opportunity for businesses may be the ability to rapidly implement UC&C solutions for businesses, so they can function normally from their home environments.  This latest release of SNAPsolution, which givens providers a complete UC&C solution to give businesses exactly the tools they need for operational continuity.  Included in v41 are new speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities, single sign-on, and multifactor authentication to increase the breath of capabilities businesses can leverage, while ensuring security of their corporate resources.

The fact is, though, the coronavirus pandemic has only hastened a trend that had already emerged.  As businesses saw a need to adjust to new workforce dynamics, including and increase in mobile workforces, remote employees, and a demand for greater work-life balance, UC&C has become an invaluable resource for accommodate all these needs while maintaining operational flows and revenue streams.

In fact, over the past 12 years, the number of U.S. employees working remotely has increased by 159%, and overwhelmingly, workers are attracted to businesses that offer flexible work arrangements due to increased morale, reduced stress, and other benefits, all of which tend to increase retention rates.

“It was paramount for us to empower our service providers with the services demanded by the next generation workforce, and v41 has made it even easier for service providers to meet the upcoming communication and collaboration needs of tomorrow’s end-users,” added Byrne.

Growth opportunities for MSPs is the singular focus of MSP Expo, part of the TechSuperShow.  Coming to the brand new Miami Beach Convention Center, June 22-25, 2021, MSP Expo 2021 will focus not only on solution and product offerings, but will feature marketing, customer acquisition, benchmarking and metrics, compliance, and other key areas of business growth for MSPs.
