Cloud|AG uses AvePoint Platform to Provide Managed Services for Microsoft Cloud Offerings

By Laura Stotler

MSP Cloud|AG is leveraging its new partnership with AvePoint to offer managed services for its Microsoft cloud customers. The solutions include backup, recovery and administration services in support of both Office 365 and the Azure cloud environment.

The services utilize AvePoint’s Online Services SaaS management platform for Office 365. The platform also works for any cloud-hosted SharePoint environment, enabling Cloud|AG to offer its clients a full set of backup and management services for Microsoft cloud installations.

The partnership was instrumental recently in migrating Albion Scaccia, a Cloud|AG customer, to Office 365. The commercial construction company moved its email and documents to the cloud platform, and is also utilizing the Cloud|AG ServicePoint365 application. The MSP is using AvePoint’s DocAve online management solution to protect its clients new cloud environments.

Features of the Cloud|AG’s Microsoft managed services offering include protection of all Exchange, SharePoint, ServicePoint365 and OneDrive content with granular content backup and recovery. The solution also ensures continuous availability of Exchange Online data and archived Microsoft Lync conversations. Users may also connect to cloud or network storage devices through SFTP and FTP and may restore content to storage locations should there be an Office 365 service disruption.

Cloud|AG also recently teamed up with InterCall on dial-in conferencing services for Office 365 Lync Online meetings. InterCall maintains a global network to support live audio for Lync meeting attendees via a dial-in conference number or through their PCs. The combined solution provides a variety of audio features and controls that enhance users’ overall Lync conferencing experience.

The partnerships are a direct result of customers’ increased interest in migrating to the cloud as well as the need for enhanced communication and collaboration features.

“Companies are finding Lync Online to be a very useful tool to help increase communication and collaboration among employees, customers and suppliers,” said David Huseonica, president and CEO at Cloud|AG. “The addition of InterCall’s dial-in conferencing service opens up the Lync meeting experience to a broader audience that may be away from their PC or don’t have quality PC audio capability.”
