Mass AV Using Aframe Cloud Video Production Platform

Mass AV Using Aframe Cloud Video Production Platform

By Laura Stotler

In a move to expand into the corporate video production market, Mass AV has decided to make use of the cloud. The company has partnered with Aframe and is using the company’s cloud video production platform to provide efficiencies and an advanced digital workflow.

The cloud video platform offers a number of benefits including time savings, secure backup and mobility. Mass AV is now able to move video projects at a 40-percent faster rate from start to finish without the need for major investments in equipment and infrastructure and without large set-up times.

"Aframe is a massive efficiency tool across the entire workflow,” said Nicholas Priest, senior creative associate at Mass AV. “All that hassle that goes into preparing a video for editing by interpreting the feedback of someone who isn't sitting next to you, is all gone. We were searching for a solution that lets clients view video and make comments or edits online, instead in emails and Post-It Notes. This is everything we need it to be - fast, richly featured, easy to deploy, and intuitive."

The move to the cloud reflects a shift in the corporate video communications market. According to a report from the Web Video Marketing Council, ReelSEO and Flimp Media, 93 percent of corporations created video communications projects last year, representing a 15-percent increase from 2012. The report, which queried more than 600 marketing professionals, shows that 71 percent had increased budgets for online video marketing last year. And yet most of those surveyed said the prohibitively expensive costs of producing online video projects were a drawback and would limit the amount of their production.

Cloud solutions like Aframe’s enable service providers to pass along savings to their corporate clients, while they reap benefits themselves. The offering features a personalized client portal for sharing rough cuts and final versions of projects, and content is stored securely in the Aframe private cloud. Additional features include tagging services that enable staff to index video by keywords, logs and phrases so footage is quickly discoverable.
