Cbeyond Receives Cisco Master Service Provider Certification for Cloud and Managed Services

By Laura Stotler

Cbeyond has been recognized by Cisco for its work in selling and delivering cloud and managed services to the small and mid-sized business (SMB) market. The managed service provider (MSP) received Cisco Master Service Provider Certification for cloud and managed services, recognizing its efforts to help customers accelerate time to market and time to revenue.

The Cisco certification also recognizes Cbeyond's expertise and investments in the creation, sale and delivery of cloud and managed services. The company additionally offers financial incentives and go-to-market benefits in all countries of legal presence.

Part of the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Program, the Master Certification helps Cisco partners to envision, build, market and sell cloud and managed services. Cisco helps partners like Cbeyond by providing business acceleration tools and services along with sales training. Certified companies also have access to the Cisco Cloud Marketplace, a vast network of vendors and services that help them to meet the specific needs of their customers. Earlier this month, XO Communications received the certification for its IP communications services, intelligent networking and cloud computing solutions.

Cbeyond will sell and deliver at least two Cisco Powered services as part of the Master Service Provider designation, which are built on the ITIL framework and provide enhanced management and stewardship for their customers.

"Obtaining Cisco Master Service Provider partner status marks yet another significant milestone for Cbeyond," said Paul Gies, vice president of business development at Cbeyond. "The certification is further validation of the powerful combination of our cloud product offerings and the Cisco hardware platform. This combination allows small and mid-sized companies to now utilize the cloud to run their businesses just as efficiently as much larger enterprise companies."

The MSP previously achieved Cisco Powered services designations in a number of areas related to cloud and managed services. These include Cloud Services, Cloud Service for Infrastructure as a Service, Managed Services, MPLS VPN, Metro Ethernet, Managed Services Internet Service and Managed IP Trunking.

Cbeyond will be exhibiting in Booth 224 at ITEXPO West in Las Vegas from August 26-29.
