Business Growth? SaaS Innovation? Let's 'Keep It' Going: Keepit Secures $50M in New Funding

By Alex Passett

The rise of SaaS solutions has — in no small way, to be sure — lit an undousable spark when it comes to how businesses operate today. From CRM and ERP systems to workplace collaboration resources galore, there’s a ton of sensitive (and high-value) data floating about countless cloud-based applications.

However, with SaaS conveniences come potential SaaS vulnerabilities; even when vendors do smartly invest in the right kind of security tools, bad actors can still find ways to worm through, resulting in data breaches and confidence-shaking intrusions.

This is where companies like Keepit swoop in, ready to rescue.

Keepit readily delivers next-level data protection, offering cost-effective (and all-inclusive) backup and recovery services for your business’s data.

“We secure your data from your most relied-upon SaaS apps like Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory),” as one Keepit representative wrote. “Through a vendor-independent cloud, we make future-proofing all your business’s data not only possible, but extremely fast and easy.”

In short, Keepit safeguards data against the ever-sprawling list of threats that can disrupt business continuity; dangers that can potentially cost millions in downtime, lost revenue, fines from regulatory non-compliance, reputational damage and more.

Last month, we covered Keepit’s appointment of Fahad Qureshi as its new Vice President of Sales for the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. In this role, Qureshi is reportedly spearheading Keepit’s long-term growth across these regions, bringing 15+ years of industry know-how to the table. (Read our full story here.)

And today, the company is taking yet another step on its journey:

This morning, Keepit announced having secured $50 million in new funding. This round, led by existing investor One Peak, marks Keepit’s third equity investment since 2020, bringing its total funds raised to approximately $90 million.

According to the official announcement, this investment “underscores Keepit’s rapid growth, solidifying its position as a leader in SaaS data protection,” and it will be “directed towards expanding the company’s go-to-market efforts and fueling continued product innovation.”

“Our commitment to innovation and solving our customers’ most pressing data protection challenges is what drives us forward,” expressed both Morten Felsvang, Keepit co-founder and CEO and Frederik Schouboe, Keepit co-founder and CVO. “This new funding will allow us to expand our reach and continue innovating the most advanced SaaS data protection solutions on the market. We’re thrilled to see such strong support from our investors, who understand our mission and share our vision for the future.”
