Keeping Data Secure and Global Operations Strong: Fahad Qureshi Welcomed as Keepit's New VP of Sales

By Alex Passett

TGIF, MSP Today readers!

Before we stick the weekend landing, in a manner of speaking, let’s talk about Keepit.

For any in need of a refresher, Keepit delivers next-level data protection, offering reliable (and all-inclusive) backup and recovery services for your data; for MSPs, the small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) being served, and more.

“We secure your data from your most relied-upon SaaS apps like Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory),” as one Keepit representative wrote. “Through a vendor-independent cloud, we make future-proofing all your company’s data not only possible, but extremely fast and easy.”

And in terms of preparing for the future, the company made an announcement this week we that we wanted to highlight:

Yesterday, Keepit announced the appointment of Fahad Qureshi as the new Vice President of Sales for the Americas, Australia and New Zealand (AMER/ANZ). In this new role, Qureshi will reportedly spearhead Keepit’s long-term growth across these regions, bringing what Keepit described as “his deep sales expertise and strategic vision to expand Keepit’s footprint in the Americas and beyond.”

Qureshi is joining Keepit after having served as Lumafield’s Head of Sales, as well as one of the leaders at Qumulo where he bolstered the company’s enterprise-grade file data management capabilities. With additional experience in other pre-Keepit roles, Qureshi brings 15+ years of industry knowledge to the table, including a track record in building scalable, cloud-based data solutions and driving measurable revenue growth for businesses.

According to the official announcement, Qureshi’s goal is clear: “Build on Keepit’s success and establish the Americas as a leading market for Keepit’s cloud-native data protection solutions. His approach is centered on creating a partner-first organization, expanding Keepit’s team, and delivering reliable, scalable data security to enterprises across industries.”

In Qureshi’s own words:

“Keepit’s product is technologically superior and an important reason why I’m thrilled to join the team. Unlike the typical approach of building a U.S. presence before expanding to Europe and the rest of the world, Keepit already has a proven model in other markets. That gives us a strong foundation to build on in the U.S. — it’s a goldmine of opportunity. I look forward to showing organizations across the U.S., Canada, Latin America and ANZ how they can sleep easier at night, knowing their data is supremely safe with Keepit.”

“My goal is also to make the U.S. the leading region in the company,” Qureshi added. “We’ll be purposeful about building relationships with the right partners, and I encourage my team to always be front-of-mind for our partners: Never have coffee alone, never have lunch alone. We’re going to plant the Keepit flag across the region.”
