TeamViewer, a provider of remote connectivity and digital workplace solutions, recently showcased a new suite of AI-powered features at Microsoft Ignite 2024. The innovations aim to revolutionize IT support with intelligent, proactive tools tightly integrated with Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and Azure OpenAI infrastructure.
One of the newest offerings is AI-driven Session Insights, designed to improve support efficiency and customer satisfaction. The feature delivers instant, detailed summaries of remote support sessions and highlights recurring issues, enabling IT teams to resolve problems faster and prevent future disruptions. Combine this with a robust analytics dashboard, and IT leaders gain actionable data to identify patterns, optimize resources, and enhance service delivery.
The integration with Microsoft Teams and Copilot also makes it possible for IT teams to manage support directly within their everyday workspace. Agents can conduct in-chat and in-call support sessions without leaving the Teams interface. The integration allows them to access historical session data, receive AI-generated recommendations, and utilize Copilot for real-time insights.
So when a support request arrives via Teams, agents can instantly retrieve relevant device data, access session histories, and initiate remote connections — all within the same environment. This minimizes task repetition and accelerates response times, for a more collaborative and productive support process.
TeamViewer’s solutions also integrate seamlessly with other Microsoft products, including Intune for endpoint management, Dynamics 365 for customer service, and Azure Extensions for training purposes. This provides a unified approach to IT operations, supporting a remote-first strategy that simplifies workflows while ensuring security and scalability.
"As TeamViewer continues to advance its collaboration with Microsoft, we remain committed to leading industry standards and empowering IT teams to achieve new levels of service excellence. In a future where AI-driven support is the norm, TeamViewer aims to stay at the forefront, integrating deep AI insights with Azure's capabilities to deliver support that is faster, smarter, and more secure," said Alfredo Patron, Executive Vice President of Business Development at TeamViewer.
"TeamViewer and Microsoft are joining forces to enhance the value and experience for our customers," said Edith Wittmann, General Manager of Global Partner Solutions Germany at Microsoft. The company was recently honored as the 2024 Microsoft Teams Partner of the Year.
"By combining TeamViewer's advanced remote support and workflow solutions with Microsoft's powerful AI and cloud infrastructure, we are not only improving agent productivity today, but moving towards an agent-less support in the future, which will be a gamechanger for our customers."
