My fellow TMC writer and editor, Alex Passett, recently wrote an article that covered Huntress securing $150 million in Series D funding to strengthen its security capabilities. Read more about that here.
Huntress protects businesses by delivering technology managed by experts at the lowest total cost of ownership at any scale. Huntress provides the highly rated technology, services, education and expertise needed to help companies overcome cybersecurity challenges and protect critical business assets. To do that, they combine the power of the Huntress Managed Security Platform with a human-led 24/7 Security Operations Center. As Passett simply puy, “Huntress deploys managed detection and response solutions for endpoints and identities.”
Speaking of MDR solutions, Huntress is offering an opportunity for those interested, especially non-experts, to learn about EDR or MDR during an upcoming webinar titled, “An Insider's Guide to Choosing an Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) Solution.” The webinar is taking place at 2 p.m. EST July 10. With the information provided in the webinar, attendees can make the best choice for their organization whether they are a seasoned pro or not. Registration is open.
But that’s not all happening around the Huntress nest. Recently, Huntress CEO Kyle Hanslovan received Ernst & Young LLP’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 Mid-Atlantic Award.
EY is a large professional services network focused on building a better working world. They provide audit, consulting, tax, strategy and legal services to clients around the globe. Their diverse teams use data and technology to help clients grow, operate and navigate complex challenges.
The Entrepreneur of the Year recognizes leaders who “disrupt markets, revolutionize sectors and have a transformational impact on lives,” according to the official press release.
The program, now in its 38th year, recognizes daring entrepreneurs with big ideas who take bold actions. The award recognizes founders who built their companies from scratch, CEOs who transformed established businesses and family business leaders who successfully modernized their inherited enterprises.
Hanslovan was selected by an independent panel of judges after being evaluated on his ability to build long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.
“When my co-founders and I launched Huntress in 2015, we had a simple goal of helping the little guys and taking down hackers along the way. Since then, that vision has grown far beyond what I could only have dreamt, now shared by hundreds of insanely talented, unique, and ethical individuals,” said Hanslovan. “Their belief in Huntress has helped fuel our tremendous growth, and most of our success lies in the culture, ideas and innovations they’ve inspired. So, while I’m grateful EY chose to recognize me for my leadership, this award really reflects the hard work and dedication of all my teammates who’ve joined me on this epic journey.”
