Telecommunications Services by MSP Expo Sponsor Ooma Elevates Prologis' Essentials Platform

By Greg Tavarez

No matter the size of a business or organization, one piece of advice remains the same:

Effective communication is crucial for success.

Enterprises know that effective communication improves their professional image, streamlines operations, boosts efficiency and enables them to compete more effectively in their respective markets.

Speaking of, we have Ooma, a smart communications platform for businesses and consumers. Ooma provides businesses with the tools needed to reach the pinnacle goal they have set for themselves in terms of telecommunications. Its VoIP technology uses the internet to provide high-quality voice calls and other communication services.

That said, another company is seeking communication tools from Ooma. Prologis, a real estate investment trust that owns, develops, operates and maintains logistics facilities, will offer Ooma telecommunications services through Prologis’ Essentials platform.

The Essentials platform offers innovative solutions to address the crucial challenges faced by modern fulfillment centers. It provides tools to tackle issues like order fulfillment speed, inventory management, labor efficiency and sustainability. By merging advanced solutions, like the ones from Ooma, Essentials transforms fulfillment centers into dynamic entities poised for continuous growth and innovation.

Services being offered by Ooma include Ooma AirDial and Ooma Office, which recently had new features added to it.

Ooma AirDial serves as a comprehensive solution to replace outdated copper-wire telephone lines, commonly referred to as plain old telephone service (POTS), which are approaching the end of their operational life. These lines currently facilitate connections for crucial equipment such as fire alarm panels, elevator phones, building entry systems, fax machines, and more.

AirDial integrates hardware, software, virtual analog phone service, wireless connectivity, and remote cloud-based management through a single vendor, offering a unified monthly billing system.

Ooma Office presents a thoughtfully curated array of features tailored to address the communication and collaboration needs of SMBs. Customers can select their preferred interface from traditional analog phones, IP phones or virtual options via the Ooma Office desktop and mobile applications.

Noteworthy advanced functionalities comprise a virtual receptionist, ring groups, video conferencing, text messaging, call recording, call queueing, along with a host of other capabilities.

“Prologis has a deep understanding of the modern logistics requirements its customers need to be constantly connected to shippers, delivery sites, the home office and more, while also keeping their facilities safe,” said Chris Burgy, Vice President of Corporate Development at Ooma. “We’re delighted Prologis has selected Ooma as a trusted vendor for communications, collaboration and POTS replacement.”

Ooma services are now available to Prologis’ customers operating in the U.S. and Canada.

Ooma is a Platinum sponsor of MSP Expo in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Feb. 13-15, 2024. Part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW, MSP Expo is the premier event for MSPs, offering a three-day experience combining conference education, networking opportunities, an exhibit hall full of the latest technologies and solutions to help MSPs build their business, and more. Ooma will be in booth #539 in the exhibit hall.
