Zero Trust Hype: Versa Networks Listed by Gartner as a Sample Vendor for Universal ZTNA

By Alex Passett

After receiving the successful all-clear Recommended Rating by CyberRatings, it seems SASE provider Versa Networks and its service specialists have officially been listed as a Sample Vendor for Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) in Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Zero Trust Networking, 2023, as well.

Here's the scoop, long-story-short style:

Versa Network’ ZTNA capabilities – including Versa Zero Trust Everywhere – deliver real Zero Trust security for remote and on-prem/hybrid workers for exceptional user-to-app experiences. Enterprises leverage Versa’s AI/ML-powered Unified SASE platform for a bevy of ZTNA-streamlined network and security use cases.

According to Gartner, “Although remote work has certainly surged in recent years, the future of work remains hybrid. Hybrid working creates challenges for employees due to inconsistent network access implementations, which can lead to lost productivity and may increase the likelihood of security and networking incidents. Universal ZTNA helps to optimize network and security policies across multiple environments.” This is what Versa enables, in addition to enterprise benefits like security gap elimination, unified policy, enhanced visibility, simplified operations, and modernized pricing models.

And Versa is excited by this recognition; reasonably so.

“We are thrilled to be recognized in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Zero Trust Networking,” stated Dan Maier, CMO of Versa Networks. “We believe that Zero Trust is the foundation of modern security and needs to be ‘built in’ to the network. Since our inception, a core philosophy has been that security is an inherent component of the network, not hastily a bolted-on afterthought. We have delivered single-vendor Unified SASE, Secure SD-WAN, SSE and Zero Trust Everywhere based on this paradigm. With Versa’s solutions, enterprises can extend Zero Trust from remote users to on-premise users and devices, with consistent policy enforcement at the cloud edge, WAN edge and LAN edge.”

Notably, Versa also delivers services such as Secure SD-WAN, Next-Generation Firewall, Next-Generation Firewall as a Service and Cloud Network Firewall, plus Unified Threat Management (UTM) including Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Remote Browser Isolation (RBI), and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA).

“Versa’s platform goes above and beyond,” Gartner reported.
