Omega Systems Appoints New CEO and COO

By Stefania Viscusi

Omega Systems has announced that Mike Fuhrman, former COO of Flexential, will be joining the company as its new CEO.

Fuhrman brings extensive experience in IT operations and product development, with a proven track record of scaling business models, implementing go-to-market strategies, and managing global teams. He holds a position on the executive advisory board for the School of Engineering at The Citadel, where he graduated.

His background also made him the ideal choice to succeed co-founders Bill and Jen Kiritsis.

After 21 years, the duo announced they’d be stepping back from day-to-day operations, with Bill focusing on driving Omega's growth through mergers and acquisitions, and both providing advisory support to the board on strategic objectives.

The company also announced Ben Tercha as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Tercha, who has been an invaluable member of the Omega team for over 17 years, most recently serving as the Senior Vice President of Operations, played a pivotal role in shaping the company's product and service offerings. Notably, he was instrumental in the development and architecture of Omega's privately managed data center, which holds SOC 2 certification.

Omega Systems, a portfolio company of Pfingsten Partners, is a managed service provider (MSP) and managed security service provider (MSSP) catering to mid-market organizations in sectors like finance, manufacturing, healthcare, government, and professional services. Their solutions effectively address the increasing regulatory, compliance, and data processing requirements of security-conscious businesses operating in highly regulated industries.

Last year, the company successfully finalized its initial three acquisitions, integrating ACE IT Solutions, PICS ITech, and The TNS Group. This strategic move significantly enhanced the company's presence and operational capabilities throughout the Northeastern region of the United States.

The recent leadership transition at Omega Systems marks a significant milestone in the company's growth trajectory, according to founding CEO Bill Kiritsis. Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to lead Omega over the past two decades, Kiritsis emphasized the organization's transformation from its humble origins to becoming a renowned MSP.

“Mike, Ben and the rest of our executive team are exceptional leaders and are passionate about accelerating growth while staying true to our vision and culture. Jen and I couldn’t be leaving Omega in better hands, and we’re excited to remain involved in the organization and witness its continued growth and evolution,” said Kiritsis.
